🐈 IT’S NATIONAL FERAL CAT DAY!! 🐈‍⬛

We have some AMAZING news to share! 🎉

Thanks to The Nobody's Cats Foundation, the 28 kitties we trapped over the last 2 days were spayed or neutered COMPLETELY FREE today!! 😱❤️

We couldn’t be more grateful, thankful, or surprised by this incredible gift! What an amazing way to celebrate National Feral Cat Day! 🫶🏻

And here’s our public service announcement!
💩 SPAY & NEUTER BEFORE A COLONY OF 2 TURNS INTO 30 IN JUST ONE YEAR! YES friends, it happens that quick!

Every cat fixed is another step toward preventing the endless cycle of unwanted litters, overcrowded shelters, and kittens struggling to survive.

It takes a village, and we are so thankful to have The Nobody’s Cats Foundation and our amazing SAF community standing alongside us to make a difference! 💪🏻🐾

Help us celebrate National Feral Cat Day by giving the Nobody’s Cats Foundation FB page a like!

Big Trapping Week for SAF! Started off strong with a threefer this morning 🤯

🌧️ It’s a BUSY, rainy Sunday for SAF!

On one side of the mountain, the State Park Litter is headed to Dr. Kate for their very own spay/neuter day! ⛰️

On the other side of the mountain, we’re busy prepping for a mass trapping mission this coming week at a location that has been sitting on our waitlist for six months! 🪤

Thanks to a generous donor from South Middleton Community Cats, we were able to deliver 4 outdoor cat houses to this 20+ cat colony! 🏡

And the moment that melted our hearts? It took just 10 minutes after we pulled out of the driveway for one of the cats to discover a new house and get all cozy in the fresh straw! 😻

These are the little moments that remind us WHY we do what we do. Every cat deserves a safe, warm place to rest, and every caretaker deserves a little extra support. ❤️

From the donors and volunteers to the caretakers, trappers, fosters, and veterinary teams… IT TAKES AN ARMY to make all of this happen!

Send us all the good vibes for this coming week as these kitties aren’t friendly and we need trapping to work in our favor! We are excited to share our final number of cats that make it to clinic 🤞🏻

🐈 CARLISLE FRIENDS — THIS IS BIG! 🐈

South Middleton Community Cats has been working TIRELESSLY to get Carlisle Borough on board with offering TNR vouchers to its residents! 👏🏻 That’s right!! FREE! No more excuses of why your outdoor kitties aren’t fixed my friends!

Take a moment to think about it… How many stray cats do you see wandering the streets of Carlisle? How many litters of kittens are born each year? How many cries for help come from people who find kittens and don’t know where to turn?

Now imagine a Carlisle where the community cats are spayed and neutered, colonies are managed, and we see fewer and fewer kittens born outside without a safe place to go. 🥹

WOULDN’T THAT BE THE BEST THING EVER?! 🙌🏻

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) is one of the most effective ways to help humanely manage community cat populations and prevent the endless cycle of unwanted litters.

This is what happens when a community comes together with a shared goal. It takes dedication, teamwork, and people willing to fight for cats that don’t have a voice of their own. 💪🏻

Please take a moment to watch and share the video! Let’s show our support for South Middleton Community Cats and the work being done to make a difference for Carlisle’s community cats!

A better future for community cats starts with TNR! 🐈‍⬛

We are putting out an S.O.S for a local caretaker we've been helping for years.

- She is no longer living in the home where she has been for years. Prior to her living in the home, her elderly mother was there and also caring for the colony.

- We have vetted all the cats on the property.

- The new owners of the home do not like cats and have several large dogs who they believe will chase/attack the cats. They have requested all cats be removed. This is a rural area - we dont have other close feeders/options.

- The cats have only known this caretaker and her yard, covered patio, garage as their safe space. Many have lived here their whole life.

- The new owners are allowing cats to be removed this week.

We are desperately trying to seek placement for them in pairs (barn placements) or even an indoor home for the super friendly ones.

Again, this is an urgent SOS! We have personally helped this caretaker for 5 years with TNR, cat food and ongoing vet care. These are well loved outdoor cats who have spent their whole life on this property.

Please share 🙏

A BUSY Sunday afternoon spent setting cameras, tying open traps, and getting everything ready for our next TNR run! 🪤🐈

And while we were out prepping, we made sure to swing by 4 caretakers nearby who were on our recent food wishlist! 💜

A BIG thank you to everyone who donated a bag of food! Because of YOU, these caretakers are officially stocked up and ready to feed their 20+ cat colonies for an entire month! 🙌🏻

This is what community looks like. It’s not just about trapping and getting cats fixed! It’s about supporting the amazing caretakers who continue showing up every single day for these cats but may need a little assistance doing so! 🐈‍⬛❤️

It takes a village, and our SAF village continues to show up BIG! 💪🏻
