I have some of the best clientele I could ever wish for. I’m not fast, I’m not cheap, yet you guys keep bringing me more and more work to do. I love getting to preserve your memories through my artwork, but unfortunately there are only so many hours in a year.

As of now my books are full. In order to keep from burying myself even further, I’m forced to stop taking new work for a while. I know I’ve spoken to several of you that are awaiting shipments from overseas, and yes I will still accept those pieces when they arrive.

With the exception of some large lifesize pieces, I will be referring all inquiries to other local studios that I think can fulfill your needs. Thank you so much!!!

Delivered a beautiful inland griz this week. Very short-handed in the shop as of late, so I appreciate everyone's patience.

We just started mounting deer heads this week and have already had to skip a couple people because their antlers aren’t here. Just like last year, we will not be calling for antlers and trying to run them all down. If we come to your mount, and antlers aren’t here, we will just move onto the next one.

I absolutely love wild turkeys. Whether it is hunting them, watching them, studying them, mounting them, or eating them, I can't seem to get enough. One of the most magical times of the year is spring turkey season, and what better way to remember a special hunt than having your turkey mounted?

I have been working hard over the last several years improving my turkey knowledge in an effort to mount a high quality bird. My efforts have been rewarded with multiple state championships, a North American Title, a Best of Show in KS, and a National Champion... all with turkey mounts. If you're looking for a high quality turkey for your home or office, I would be happy to work with you.

I’ve never had to do this before but I find myself in a situation where I have more work than I can complete in a reasonable amount of time. My books are full and no longer accepting deer or small mammals this season. Most of you know we also did not accept waterfowl all season, and will continue to refer all of our waterfowl inquiries elsewhere.

As of right now I will still accept a limited number of turkeys this spring. I apologize for any inconvenience, but I’d like to get our turn around closer to 12 months max.

This week I finished up a taxidermy related project of sorts for my sister and brother in law. Their house had this large blank wall so we decided to add an accent rock wall. They plan to hang a couple mounts on and around it. We can do custom builds from accent walls like this, to large scale mountain-like scenes.

Happy New Year!
2024 Was an interesting year. We were overwhelmed with work from our loyal clients last year, and it has put us in a bit of a backlog. We are taking steps to get that cleaned up this year so I appreciate everyone being so patient. I look forward to another busy year here in the shop.

Santa has been working overtime in the shop, and is looking forward to a day off. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Enjoy the time with your families, eat more than you should, and put a smile on someones face.

Finished up another mountain lion this week. This one was extremely unique in that it was harvested by a couple coyote hunters in Iowa! Lions are protected here in MO, but Iowa considers them a non-native species and doesn't have any laws against taking one. To say an Iowa cougar harvest is rare would be an understatement.

This was a fun project. Clint Rickey and I put this cat together at the Missouri Taxidermist Association convention last August. It was a good time, and I can’t wait to do it again.

This was an impressive whitetail. Such a large framed deer. I thought he turned out nice and deserved to have his picture taken. Hopefully everyone is having a great season. Good luck, and stay safe.
