Having a healthy pet is the first step in any training plan. Some signs to watch out for that may mean your dog is in pain include: slowing down in activity, decrease in eating and drinking, changes in grooming behavior, changes in urine or bowel movements, and increased respiration.
If your dog is exhibiting signs of pain make sure to get them checked out by your veterinarian.

Mental stimulation is often overlooked but just as important as physical stimulation for a dog. One of my favorite ways to get my dogs thinking is by using a treat or food puzzle. This one is a woof pupsicle that I froze peanut butter and yogurt in. What is your favorite way to work out your dogs mind?

The fear free approach focuses on the emotional wellbeing of pets throughout the care process. This includes training to help prepare your pet for care visits at the vet.
