At Paws & Whiskers Watcher, your pet’s safety is always a priority. One of the things included in the annual agreement we ask our clients to sign is that, due to safety concerns, retractable leashes are not recommended.

While they may seem convenient, retractable leashes can make it harder to maintain control of your dog, especially around traffic, other animals, or unexpected situations. The cords can also cause burns or injuries, and the mechanisms can malfunction.

For these reasons, we recommend using a standard leash. It provides better control and helps us keep your pets as safe as possible while they’re in our care.

We appreciate our clients trusting us with their furry family members, and we take that responsibility seriously. Thank you for helping us make safety a priority!

Happy National Dog Day!

Today we’re celebrating the dogs who make our lives happier, our homes fuller, and our hearts so much better just by being in them.

At Paws & Whiskers Watcher, we know dogs aren’t just pets. They’re family. They’re our best friends, our companions, our adventure buddies, our snuggle partners and sometimes the ones who know exactly when we need them most.

We are so thankful for every family who trusts us to care for their dogs and cats while they’re away. We don’t take that trust lightly. We love getting to know each pet’s personality, their little quirks and all the things that make them special.

So today, give your dog an extra treat, an extra belly rub and a whole lot of love. They give us so much of themselves every single day.

Happy National Dog Day from Paws & Whiskers Watcher. We love what we do, and we love your pets like they’re our own.
