Family dog trainer. Turning problem beasts into your bestie Our training Philosophy:
At Beast to Bestie, we do not take a one-size fits all training approach.

We spend time getting to know the owner and the dog to create a customized approach based on the personality and drives of the dog and goals of the owner. Classes are private one-on-one sessions, where our trainer will teach you (the owner) how to communicate with your dog, teach wanted behaviors, and stop unwanted behaviors. Our goal is to not only teach a dog obedience or stop unwanted behavior, but to build a strong, healthy relationship between owner and canine. Dogs thrive on strong leadership, structure, and routine. We will teach you how to be the leader your dog deserves, while incorporating structure and routine in your dog’s life, guaranteeing a happier life for both you and your bestie. For their safety and yours, it is vital a dog knows right from wrong, that is why we use a balanced training approach. This means during the learning phase of teaching obedience commands and house rules, we use reward-based reinforcements only. It is only after the dog knows and understands what is being asked of them, do we apply an appropriate correction for noncompliance or to eliminate dangerous behaviors. We love dogs and would rather them be uncomfortable for a second with a correction than be hurt or killed by performing dangerous activities. For more information or to set up a behavioral assessment, contact us by phone at (309) 798-3060 or by email at [email protected]

One of my former board and trains, Roscoe, brought his siblings down to hangout with me this week! I'm not set up yet for new clients, but I always have room for my friends!

Now that it's 100% official, keys in hand, paperwork signed... the pups and I are moving to The Lake of the Ozarks!!! I'll be turning this monster building into a boarding and training facility! I'm so excited for this next chapter in life!

The pups and I are brewing up some exciting stuff! As much as it breaks my heart, I'm unable to accommodate new clients at this time as we transition. Give me a few weeks and I'll unveil what we've got in store!

I'm going to try and be better about posting clients again.
First up meet Miss Bella! After our evaluation, she slept the rest of the day away. 🤣 Looks like that trend will continue after our session today. 😴

🥳I'm ecstatic to announce I'm officially a Training Without Conflict Certified Trainer!!!!🥳

Watching the work done but TWC graduates, I knew this was a community I wanted to be a part of. Whether sport dog trainers, trainers working in shelters, or those working with the most challenging behavioral cases, I saw results that blew me away. I saw results that I wanted to give my clients!

In the last year since starting this journey, I've grown so much as a trainer. The information I've learned and implemented has taken my training to the next level and made drastic changes in the lives of my clients and their dogs.

Thanks Ivan Balabanov, Erick Aguirre, and the rest of the TWC crew for all the hardwork you do!

Watching dogs play is one of the greatest things ❤️ Knowing all 3 of these dogs have had issues getting along with other dogs in the past and now seeing where they are today is even better ❤️

Play is severally underrated in dog training. The results I've been getting with behavioral cases utilizing play since taking the TWC course is astounding! All I've worked with this client on is timing and introducing a reward marker, building play drive, and teaching an out. He's already a new dog!

Hi, my name's Bonnie and I was asked to do 3 whole place commands AND 60s of tug. Now I must nap and recuperate after my harrowing morning.

12/04/2025

That look you give when it takes your trainer all day to realize you're too short to drink out of the regular water bucket 😂 Sorry Bonnie!

I'm convinced this is not a dog, but a chaos demon in a dog suit.
