It’s crazy to us that these pups have had so little interest! 🥹❤️

We have SO many cute dogs here just waiting for their people to come along! They each have their own personalities, so much love to give, and are ready for a family to call their own.

We’re open today from 12–4 and Tuesday through Sunday! Fill out an adoption application online and get approved so you’re ready to find your new best friend! 🐾💚

💚 Happy Vet Tech Appreciation Week! 🐾

This week, we want to recognize and thank veterinary technicians everywhere for the hard work, compassion, and dedication they bring to caring for animals every day. From comforting scared patients to supporting lifesaving care, the work you do makes such a difference, even in the moments that often go unseen.

We’re especially grateful for the vet techs who help care for our PAWS animals, but today we celebrate all vet techs who go above and beyond for the animals who need them. Thank you for everything you do! 🐶🐱

🐾 Our Pet Food Pantry Needs Your Help! 🐾

Our adult cat food shelf is running low, and we could use a little help restocking our supplies! ❤️

Our pet food pantry helps local pet owners keep their beloved furry family members fed, and donations make it possible for us to continue supporting our community and the animals we all love. 🐱🐶

If you’re able to donate adult cat food or adult dog food, we would be incredibly grateful! Every bag, can, and little bit helps us keep our pantry stocked for those who need it.

Thank you for always showing up for our shelter and our community. We couldn’t do it without you! 🐾💕

❤️🐾 Sunday Success Story: CHICO! 🐾❤️

Chico came to PAWS all the way from Texas in June, and after months of waiting, this boy’s story has a very special new chapter! ❤️

Chico definitely kept us on our toes during his time here 😂, but we’re so happy that he finally got his chance at the happy ending he deserves. Some dogs take a little longer to find their people, but that just makes the wait that much sweeter!

A huge thank you to BAM - Border Animal Mission 🐾⛑️ for being part of Chico’s journey to Maine! We’re so happy we got to be a part of his story, and we can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds for him. 🥹❤️

Thank you to these seven generous donors for helping PAWS purchase a mobile ultrasound machine for our Community Cares Clinic! This machine will allow our team to provide more efficient, fear-free care to pets in need, both in our shelter and throughout the community.

We are especially grateful that some of these donors joined us at Posh Picnic for PAWS, where they had the opportunity to meet Dr. Kate Pierce and Stephanie Smit from our Community Cares Clinic and learn more about the impact this equipment will have on the animals in our care.

Together, these donors rallied to make this lifesaving purchase possible. Their generosity is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when our community comes together in support of animals and the people who love them.

Please join us in thanking Ed Lally, Phil Dinkins, Kimberly Opiela, Lisa Sheprow, Dorene and Greg Dufour, and Sue Fuhrman for making this important investment in accessible veterinary care possible. We could not be more grateful!
