🚨 **EXCUSE ME… WHO SAID I WAS A BIG DOG?!** 😂🐾

Meet this handsome 7–8 year old Bulldog mix, Named Diesel - who would like everyone to know that he is actually a Chihuahua trapped inside a Bulldog body. And he will run in to you and try to climb in your lap! So we would recommend older kids - And as far as he’s concerned, your lap, your couch, your attention and quite possibly your entire world belong to HIM. 😂❤️

This sweet boy came to us as an owner surrender through absolutely NO fault of his own and he is understandably confused about how he went from the comforts and luxuries of a home to shelter life. 🥺

He is now fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative - he used to being a house dog, and very accustomed to the good life — comfy places, human attention and being somebody’s baby. ❤️

He has done well with the dogs he has been introduced to here at the shelter - remember, this guy likes to be *the baby.* 😂 He wants to be the center of attention and will push others to the side just to be your one-and-only little spoiled prince. - !

And yes… he is the FULL Bulldog experience. -
The grunting. The slobber. The funny noises. The personality. The attitude. 😂 He will absolutely let you know what he thinks and what he wants!

But underneath all that goofy Bulldog charm is a boy who **loves harder than you can imagine.** ❤️ He is full of life, personality and affection, and honestly, he just wants his person back.

Right now, he’s confused. He doesn’t understand why his home, his comforts and his people are gone. And behind those silly grunts and that “I belong in your lap” attitude is a dog who desperately needs someone to remind him that he is still loved. 🥹

He needs a home that knows Bulldogs, understands the breed, understands their quirks and needs, and is ready to give him the love, patience, structure and comforts he deserves. -

Because this boy may be 7–8 years old, but he is NOWHERE near done living.- He has so much life left, so much personality to give and an absolutely ridiculous amount of love to pour into someone. ❤️

If you’re looking for a **professional lap dog, full-time companion, part-time comedian, certified attention hog and 100% slobbery love bug**…

👉 **THIS IS YOUR GUY.** 😂🐾❤️

He doesn’t need much. Just a home, a couch, a lap, some love, probably a few snacks… and approximately 97% of your attention.*😂

And honestly?

"The average person doesn't realize how prevalent dogfighting still is," he said. "But the more we talk about this issue and educate the public, the more people will understand that dogs aren't 'just' property, and you cannot treat them in this way."

A man who was arrested with over 100 dogs and equipment at his Georgia home got the maximum sentence last week. Prosecutors hope it sheds light on the prevalence of dogfighting, a felony in the U.S.

We’re so thankful for another very successful TNR day at KCHS! 🐱❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Turbeville Impact Incorporated and DoRe Ranch and Rescue for once again partnering with us and helping make this important work possible. Because of this incredible teamwork, 91 community cats were spayed/neutered today! 🎉🐾

We also want to thank our amazing community members who participated and brought cats to be part of the program. TNR is an important part of helping reduce the community cat population in a humane and effective way, and every single person who participates is helping make a difference.

❤️ 91 cats. 91 lives impacted. One step closer to being part of the solution. ❤️

They can be split up into separate foster homes, but they are too little to be in the shelter environment.

🐾 NOW HIRING: PART-TIME OFFICE PERSONNEL 🐾

The Kershaw County Humane Society is looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

This position is focused entirely on administrative and office responsibilities, there is no involvement in animal care or shelter policy decisions.

📋 Responsibilities Include:

Working with accounting software and maintaining accurate financial records.
Creating monthly Profit & Loss statements.
Managing our donor tracking system.
Maintaining records and files for facility and vehicle maintenance.
Monitoring email accounts.
Maintain payroll records and employee files.
General administrative and organizational duties.

⏰ Schedule: 4 days per week, 4 hours per day

💼 Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge and experience with accounting software
Strong computer and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Excellent attention to detail
Reliable and professional

💰 Salary: Based on experience

Today is all about celebrating the goofy smiles, wagging tails, wet noses, zoomies, cuddles, and unconditional love that make dogs so incredibly special. ❤️🐶

Here at the Kershaw County Humane Society , we have SO many beautiful puppies and dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and breeds who are waiting for something every dog deserves a second chance and a place to call home. 🏡
