Since I’ve had a few new followers since I started, let me reintroduce myself!
Hi! I’m Paige, I’m the main face you’ll see over here at Shed Happens! A little backstory so you can get to know me and trust me with your little babies.
I served in the Army National Guard for 8 years as a supply specialist ☺️ I worked with the mechanics and issues military driver’s licenses, so I got to drive A LOT of really cool stuff, including tanks!! (So much fun). I also have a part time job selling Snapon Tools with my Dad.
My mom is a professional pet groomer and had started grooming at 14 years old so I grew up in her grooming salon, I started by helping her answer phones, booking appointments, and bathing dogs. Eventually I decided learn the ropes and became a groomer myself! I was a fast learner (and continue to learn daily from my peers) I’ve been grooming now with a small hiatus in between for over 10 years now, I LOVE doing pattern cuts, and challenging myself with something that’s not your average kennel cuts. I’m usually really happy when a customer asks if I can give a Mohawk or even attempt a mullet.
Something I would love to focus and practice my skill with are show grooming techniques on standard poodles and learning to do full hand scissor work - I’ve also seen some people skim blades to carve in shapes which I think would be awesome to try.
My mom Buffy is also another person you might see here grooming, she’s “retired” but takes some dogs here and there to keep herself busy! Like I said prior, she has been grooming dogs since she was 14 years old and spent a lot of her early career being a show groomer!!
