Because the dog training industry is unregulated in the United States — meaning anyone can call themselves a dog trainer without evidence or science-based methods, credentials, or experience — it is exceptionally important to utilize the guidelines of industry-leading veterinary behaviorists and organizations such as American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) to find a reputable trainer!

Elizabeth, Pawsitive State of Mind owner & trainer, is Karen Pryor Academy (KPA) certified and all training programs, classes, and methods follow AVSAB recommendations! ✨

Puppy Kindergarten classes are filling quickly! ✨

This 6-week group class is for puppies 4-8 months old and teaches you and your puppy the foundations for sit, down, stay, settle on a mat, drop/leave it, recall, door and leash manners, polite greetings, impulse control and focus around distractions, body handling and cooperative vet/grooming prep!

Email us to be placed on a waitlist to get first access for future dates! New classes are added typically every 4-6 weeks.

Early, positive socialization helps puppies build confidence, develop appropriate play skills, and learn to navigate new people, dogs, sounds, and environments during their most critical developmental window—before 16 weeks of age.

The experiences puppies have during this time can shape their behavior for life — which is why leading veterinary organizations such American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) recommend safe-socialization BEFORE puppies are fully vaccinated.
