Can all dogs swim? 🐶🌊

100% of our followers voted no! Our staff had a few mixed opinions, but the majority also voted no.

It was interesting to learn that while many dogs can paddle instinctively, not every dog is built for swimming.

Breeds with flat faces, such as Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, and Boxers, can have a harder time keeping their noses above water. Dogs with heavy, barrel-shaped bodies, short legs and long backs, or thick coats may also find swimming more challenging than other breeds.

No matter the breed, you should always supervise pets around water! Here are a few simple water safety tips to help keep your pets safe this summer! ☀️
