Can I let you in on a little secret? In fact, I'm going to let you in on a whole series of them. Here's Part 1: Life as a Momtrepreneur... I am going to show you a peek behind the curtain of trying to balance it all, specifically in the dog world. Since becoming a mom, 5:30am - 8:30am and 7:00pm - 12:00am have become the most challenging parts of the day. Everyone needs me all at the same time. With structure, policies, and plans in place, things still don't always work out the way you want them to. I put a ton of thought and care into making sure the boarding dogs are wiped out before I head home to eat dinner, put the kids to bed, take care of my personal dogs, reset the house, and pump. In the mornings, it's first come, first serve for who gets me, and it's mayhem. Whoever I'm not with is being watched constantly - baby monitor or kennel stream -> I've got my eyes on someone. One of these days, I will have a better system, but, for now, I do my best and show everyone love when it's their turn. The moms in your life probably need a big hug. Be sure to give them one or a self care day! Yeah, do that.

Evaluation Policy Update:
After careful consideration and due to a combination of events within and outside of my control, Pawlished is making, what feels like, a pretty drastic change. We require all new clients to complete an evaluation before beginning any training program. The evaluation allows us to meet you and your dog, assess behavior, discuss goals, and recommend a training plan tailored to your needs. Previously, this has always been a free service. Any evaluations booked after September 1 2026 will have a booking fee required.

Booking Fee Details:
- A non-refundable $75 booking fee is required at the time of scheduling to secure your appointment.
- This fee will be applied toward the cost of any training program booked after your evaluation.
- If you cancel within 48-hours or miss your appointment, this fee will not be refunded or credited to a future date.

Rescheduling & Cancellations:
- You may reschedule your evaluation once with at least 48 hours’ notice.
- Reschedules with less than 48 hours’ notice or multiple changes may result in forfeiture of your booking fee.
- No-shows are considered cancellations and will not be eligible for a refund or transfer of the booking fee.

Dog Eligibility:
- All dogs must be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and in good general health for their appointment.
- If your dog is showing signs of illness (coughing, diarrhea, vomiting, etc.), please contact us to reschedule.
- Dogs with a bite history or significant behavioral concerns must be disclosed on the request form prior to scheduling.

Arrival & Safety:
- Please arrive on time and keep your dog on a secure collar/harness and leash.
- If your dog is reactive or nervous, we recommend waiting in your car and texting us upon arrival.
- For safety, we do not allow dog-to-dog greetings on-site unless directed by a trainer.

What to Expect:
- Evaluations typically last 45–60 minutes.
- We’ll discuss your goals, assess your dog’s behavior, and explain which of our programs are a good fit.
- You are under no obligation to sign up for training at the time of your evaluation.
