🐾AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SOON🐾

2 females / 1 male Husky/Shepherd mix puppies around 5 months old found right outside town a few weeks ago by a Good Samaritan!

Finder is keeping everyone well cared for, but asked for our help to get everyone fixed and find them homes.

These babies will not be available until the week of 7/6 after they are healed from their surgeries. We encourage anyone interested to reach out now to set up a meet and greet for when they are healed.

All 3 are very smart and fairly well mannered for puppies. They are excited initially, but do calm down as shown here. They are jumpy and will require continued training and patience. They have seen cats and cattle with no reactions. They currently are primarily outside with access to go in and cool off or sleep and have no had any accidents so far inside. We cannot say they are fully house trained as they haven’t been in a home setting. They also have not been kennel trained yet. They love to chew and have the infamous puppy teeth! These dogs will be BIG and HAIRY, but smart and sweet. Please only inquire if you can commit to them forever. Meet and greet required at home of potential adopter.

No matter what happens outside our home or requests we get, this routine stays the same. We are always caring for and helping these dogs become the best versions of themselves.

Ron & Harry 🧙🐶

💙ADOPT OR FOSTER US💙

OUR LAST 2 PUPPIES WE NEED TO GET AN ADOPTER OR A DEDICATED FOSTER FOR!!!

Ron & Harry are still in need of a foster home while networking them to find them their forever home OR forever adopters.

Vet estimates them closer to 8 months old.
Mom is chihuahua under 20lbs
Dad is pittie/dachshund mix under 40lbs
Boys will grow up and be somewhere in between

💉 fully vaccinated & getting neutered tomorrow and up to date on flea tick and heartworm meds
⚖️ boys are 15 and 18lbs currently
👧 friendly and great with kids
🐾 kennel trained and do spend quite a bit of time in their kennel due to owner working and being busy with family
🐶 live with adult dogs currently but have been very leery and growly with other puppies and adult dogs we’ve tried to introduce them to - so either no other dogs or experience with scared pups willing to do slow intros to integrate

These boys keep getting overlooked and they will not be “easy” puppies, but they will 100% be worth it. They love treats and after they take awhile to warm up and know they can trust you, their personalities start to come out. They are very shy/scared and shut down when in a new place with new people, but have never been aggressive to people.
It is not helping them to be taken out once a week, but then go back to their home and lose the little progress made. They are ready to find their forever homes with an understanding and patient family or person. They do not do well on the leash and so securely fenced yard is best unless person is willing to work through that with them on leash. I am desperate for help for these guys. Willing to relinquish to another licensed rescue also, but so far have had little luck since everyone is full and not accepting new dogs.

COMMUNITY QUESTIONS ❓

FEEDBACK WANTED AND APPRECIATED!!!

We are working very hard with the city to host a microchip day and pet food and supply pantry at the vet, but we need some input to see if there is enough interest in us doing something like this. Sorry I didn’t do a poll - multiple questions and issues to address. We see the need for change in our community and while we have big ideas, we are working towards short term goals and solutions first!

A. Would you like to see a free community supply and food drive event and/or would you take advantage of this event? Y/N

B. Would you be able or willing to donate gently used or new items to our supply drive? Y/N

C. Are your household pets microchipped? Y/N

D1. Would you pay $40 to get your pet (cat or dog) microchipped at the California Vet during a special event? Y/N (note: volunteers would be on site to ensure all chips are registered with accurate owner info)

D2. If we could get sponsorships for half the cost - would you pay $20 if you wouldn’t or couldn’t pay $40/microchip (still done locally as a one time event)? Y/N

Please comment on the original post or message us with the letter, Y/N, and any comment’s. This feedback is important for us to offer help to the community in the future! While this is geared towards Moniteau County, in order to hit our minimum needed for the microchips, those could be open to anyone - so please respond accordingly!

**if there is any interest in helping sponsor microchip costs for an event - please message us. We had a date set mid summer, but due to lack of additional funds for this specifically, it will be pushed back if we cannot get interest or support. Please know it is in the works regardless of when we can make it happen!

If you don’t know - a microchip is a quick and painless chip implanted in your dog that when scanned by any universal chip reader can provide a number specific to your dog and lead to owner information so your dog can be reunited to you. Any veterinarian can scan for a chip for free during business hours. We would love to get access to a 24/7 reader available to the public to help reunite roaming animals to owners more quickly in town!🐾

Short Stack Robin found his home this week, but his brother Batman is still looking for his forever home!

Lab mix male 12 weeks old, that is up to date on prevention, received 2 rounds of puppy shots. Final round & neuter at 6 months is paid for by the rescue. He is not fully potty trained. Has a good recall. Has been around big dogs, kids, chickens, and other puppies. All playful puppy and smart! Knows how to sit and loves to chew on sticks or your arm whichever is available 🪵🤪

Looking for more reserved and older puppies - Ron & Harry desperately need committed fosters or adopters!!

Trixie 🌈

Trixie is an estimated 17 week old female corgi mix puppy looking for a dedicated forever family!

Trixie has…
🎀 interacted with a cat and other puppies - I think she’d enjoy a fur sibling or do okay alone
🎀 she has met a big dog, but not much one on one interactions yet
🎀 she is not a big cuddler and has a big independent personality
🎀 she is sleeping in a kennel overnight and has done well with no accidents in there
🎀 she is not 100% potty trained and sometimes has accidents in the house still
🎀 she now has all her shots and is up to date on prevention meds - spay at 6 months is required, but will be covered by the rescue
🎀 she likes to play with toys
🎀 she currently has lots of room to run, but no fenced in area - she does stay close
🎀 has been around a young child and does well, but will need monitored

Trixie is a puppy and has sharp nails and teeth. She will need time, patience, training, and more socialization as she gets older to become a great adult dog. She is very sweet and sits well for a treat (most of the time)! She does shed a lot, so keep this in mind!

I know this fluff ball is extremely cute, but don’t forget we have other puppies just as great and cute with a little less fur (less to clean up) who need homes also! Adoptions and foster homes are seemingly nonexistent, and we cannot continue helping dogs without either of those - please message us if interested in either today!!!

Cutest lil helpers ready to be your shadow all summer long! 🪴🐾☀️

These sweet boys are all puppy at 10 weeks old, but learning quickly. They love the big dogs and the big dogs love them for the most part lol. They’ve been exposed to other puppies, large adult dogs, and chickens and done well!

Have had their first shots, de wormer, and prevention meds. Mission Monipaw will cover 2nd & 3rd round of shots and neuter at 6 months.

Meet and greet at your home required! Must be able to commit to a puppy for their entire life!! They will grow up and require continued training and patience. Lab mix - unsure how big they will get as we don’t know what they are mixed with. Red collar is low rider and blue collar is tall and long legged.

We also have our fluffy eared pups male chihuahua/dachshund/pittie mix that are 4 months old looking for their homes still along with our 4 great adult dogs Max, Mary, Fox, & Ruffles!!
