4 year old, AQHA, Palomino

Cache is a 14.2 HH AQHA registered Gelding who is originally a trail horse out of Steamboat Springs the owner did not have enough time to dedicate to him due to moving into hospitality equine and was not able to bring him with him. Cache attended the Clinton Anderson Clinician Academy with our senior trainer in Farmington, Arkansas from April - May 2026.
He is willing to meet you at the gate of your run or follow you in from the pasture. He is an athletic horse with a nicely paced trot and canter. He has been worked around other animals (dogs, cats, other horses, etc). He is up to date on his 5 way vaccine, dewormed 26 April 2026 and last shoed on 14 July 2026.

3 year old, AQHA, Bay Roan

Storm is from Raw Hide Ranch Horses in Lingle, WY. He is a registered AQHA Gelding that stands about 15.2 hands tall. He started his first 30 days in a cattle feed yard. After his start there, he came to work with Steadfast Horsemanship in November 2025; his training continued through May 2026 in the Clinton Anderson Method. Storm attended the Clinton Anderson Clinician Academy with our senior trainer in Farmington, Arkansas from April - May 2026.
Storm is a confident and calm worker. He will make a great hunting horse, rope horse, trail horse, or ranch versatility horse. He has a great mind and is a very willing partner. He will be in your pocket! He loves to be snuggled, pet, and dotted on but is capable of working all day.
He is up to date on his 5 way vaccine, dewormed 26 April 2026 and last shoed on 26 May 2026.

Our goal at Steadfast Horsemanship is to bridge the gap between our clients love for their horses and their ability to have a steadfast relationship based on trust and respect. We train our horses using the approach and retreat method focused on our horses learning through the release of pressure with the goal being to ask as lightly as possible. It doesn’t matter if your horse has more “woah” or more “go” we aim to teach every horse to use the THINKING side of their brain and NOT the more natural REACTIVE side of the brain. Meaning they can understand all the commands they are given sounds, gestures, or touch. And, that they have the confidence to work through any problem they encounter.

Steadfast Horsemanship is a family and veteran owned business.  We love GOD, our Family, our Community, and our Country. After retiring from the United States Army in March of 2025, my wife, Amber and I, decided to chase our dreams and trust in God’s plan for our family.  This is why we have ventured to open Steadfast Horsemanship, LLC in Calhan, CO.
We believe that God has led us to this property; therefore, we manage our land and business for the Lord’s Kingdom, and our goal is to glorify him in all we do.  We pray that shows in the way we treat our community, animals, and the results we provide to our clients. 
The name of Steadfast Horsemanship originates from the first unit I ever served in and where I met my wife while I served in 4th Squadron “Longknife”, 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment in Fort Hood, TX.  When we would pass by officers, we would salute, during that salute we would say “Blood and Steel” the response by the officer would be “Brave Rifles” or “Ai-ee-yah” which was the Sioux War Cry for “Attack!”.  In the history of 3d Cavalry Regiment they were known as the Regiment of Mounted Rifleman.  Where I fell in love with history of the mounted cavalry and horsemanship.  Though we were on tanks and Stryker’s our history always took us back to starting on horseback.  This is where I learned what it meant to be Steadfast in our mission and always finding a way to win.  Later in my career, I would serve in 3-61 CAV, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division where our Division motto was “Steadfast and Loyal”, when I retired, I knew I wanted to work with horses and our name would pay respect to those I served alongside, thus we decided to name ourselves Steadfast Horsemanship.
