Second Stride Inc is a very exceptional organization the strives to rehome ottbs to great careers. They work on the volunteer basis and donations are what keeps them going. If you can spare a donation, $5 $10 $20, whatever, it will be greatly appreciated.

This message was posted on an ottb sale site. The same person has posted several horses for sale, had a post from rescue group when she adopted this horse in May 2021, looking for a horse psychic in Indiana, coming up with health problems in May 2021 that prevent her from riding (yet she adopted in May?) then looking for free horses in Indiana....if you catch my drift this is a problematic flipper and you will never be told what happened to the horse you sold or gave to her.
Please do not trust her.

9 yr old OTTB gelding is available and owner is asking a very reasonable offer.
Approx 16 hands and very sweet. Has been ridden in English and Western tack. Loves watching cowboy shows on tv....really :)

My interests are changing and feel it is time for me to find a new home for my "Hope For Today". Handsome 13 year old bay OTTB that I adopted from "Galloping Out" 5 years ago. UTD on all shots, hooves just trimmed and teeth floated. WTC but no jumping. Stabled at Hildreth Stable in Byron. More videos on request. Might consider Share Board. PM me for more information.

Galloping Out is Waiving Fee for Owners Donating Horses to the Program

The directors of Galloping Out , the ITHA's thoroughbred horse re-homing program, understand the challenges facing Illinois horsemen and horsewomen in this difficult time and, most especially, the hardship created by the reduced racing schedule.

Effective immediately and until further notice, Galloping Out is waiving the donation fee to place a horse in our program. We hope this will help encourage continued and robust owner participation in Galloping Out so that thoroughbred horses can enjoy productive and rewarding lives after they retire.

Applications are available in the ITHA office or online at Gallopingout.org. Owners may also follow the Galloping Out link on itharacing.com, the ITHA's website.

We represent our membership in its relationships with the race tracks, at Illinois Racing Board meetings, at the state Capitol in connection with legislation affecting horsemen and horse racing, and at industry meetings throughout the country
