So I said: I’m gonna buy a new horse.
Then he said: Hold up, I’m gonna get outside overnight.
So I said: Ah, found you. Don’t do that again.
Then he said: It was thrilling, I’m going to try to escape daily for a while.
Then I said: This is why I’m a dog/horse person.
Then he said: I don’t feel very well.
So I said: Come here and let’s give you the once over. Oh hell, white gums, let’s go to the Emergency Clinic.
So they said: Critically anemic, viral panel negative, agglutination positive, autoimmune vs blood parasite. Needs transfusion.
So I said: Ok, I’ll pick him up at 5am (25 hours after dropping him off).
So they said: Ok. RBC count improved follow up with your vet tomorrow. So we did that and took his brother along.
Then they said: Needs another transfusion (why brother went with), pick up at end of day and repeat bloodwork tomorrow. So we did. Seems stable. Likely blood parasite from insect bite from sneaking out. Needs meds for weeks and monitor closely.
So he said: I can spit out or vomit meds by just thinking about it.
So I said: Better take them you’re gonna need your strength back for that saddle, motherf**ker. Moving manifesting that horse to next year. Batman remains stable and a financial nightmare. Hope y’all have a good week and mine is better than last week.
