For the last two years, we rang in the New Year with true January 1 babies. This year? The cows said “why wait?” With 5 healthy calves on the ground and more on the way soon, we’re off to a great start for 2026! 🐮

Christmas Day looked a little different for us this year. Our son Tyler was on call and couldn’t join us, so we spent today at their house visiting and spoiling our grandchildren. It was a beautiful day—full of joy, laughter, and sweet memories.
The blessings didn’t stop there. When we got back home tonight, we were met with an unexpected surprise. One of our first-calf heifers delivered an eight-day-early bull calf by Point Proven. We were definitely shocked, but so pleased. This first-time mama handled everything perfectly on her own: she had him cleaned off, nursing, and settled before we even got home. (The kind we want and strive for.)
With decent weather on our side, both mom and baby are doing great and just like that we’ve officially kicked off our spring calving season and are looking forward to more babies soon.
It was truly a beautiful day and a wonderful reminder of God’s many blessings. Warmest wishes to all the families gearing up for spring baby season—may you have good fortune and a strong start to 2026. 🐄
