"Raven the Doberman" was dumped with a severe mastitis abcess that had ruptured & was infected. Full of intestinal parasites, her bloodwork showed a bleak picture. With some much needed dewormer, a few antibiotics & some TLC, she has physically healed & is well on the way to becoming someones dream companion. She is positive for heartworms, but we have a treatment plan set up, whether with her foster or new family. Her spay appointment is also be scheduled soon.
Raven has a timid personality at first but once she warms up, has the sweetest heart & is a very loving, typical Doberman "velcro dog". This sweet girl would do best in a home without cats(we are unsure at this time if she just chases for fun or would harm), but has done well with other dogs her size. She has been territorial about her food bowl in kennel & possesive about chew bones & toys(with other animals, not people), but has been easily redirected & is showing less signs of both. In the 2 weeks time she's been with her foster, Raven is already alerting when someone strange shows up at the property (which we love, in this day & time!). She's had light obedience & socializing done & is ready to begin the rest of her life in a forever home. Because of her timid disposition, it is preferred someone with patience & understanding for this breed. We have plenty of videos of her also.
