🐾🌿 Farm life looks good on these two. 🌿🐾

Briar and Wren had their first taste of farm life this week, and it did NOT disappoint. First stop? A photo op on the four wheeler — because if you’re going to be a Northern Michigan pup, you’ve gotta look the part. 🚜

Then it was time to meet the real locals — the chickens. The girls were absolutely enchanted (fitting, right? ✨) by their feathered neighbors, and honestly, the chickens were pretty intrigued too.

These two are soaking up every single experience before they head home, and we couldn’t be more proud of how curious, calm, and bold they’ve been through all of it. 🏡🐔🐾

☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER REMINDER FOR DOG OWNERS 🐾☀️

As temperatures rise, don’t forget to think about what’s under your dog’s feet.

Research has shown that pavement temperatures can become dramatically hotter than the surrounding air. For example, when the air temperature is just 77°F, asphalt exposed to direct sunlight can reach approximately 125°F. At that temperature, skin damage can occur in as little as 60 seconds.

Dogs’ paw pads are tough, but they are not immune to burns. Hot pavement can cause pain, blistering, and injury that may require veterinary treatment.

Before heading out for a walk, try the “7-Second Test”:

✋ Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds.
🐾 If you can’t comfortably keep it there, it’s too hot for your dog.

To help keep your dog safe:

✔ Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
✔ Stay on grass or shaded paths whenever possible
✔ Watch for signs of discomfort, limping, or excessive licking of the paws
✔ Always bring fresh water

A little prevention can help keep your dog’s paws healthy all summer long. ❤️

✨ 5 Weeks Old | The Virtue Littles ✨

Five weeks in, and these little ones are absolutely stealing our hearts! 🥹

Grace, Hope, Faith, Serenity, Honor, and Noble are growing up right before our eyes — and the personalities are really starting to shine. Every day brings new little moments: a brave soul exploring a new toy, a wiggle-butt greeting in the morning, and those curious puppy eyes that just melt you completely. 🐾💛

There is truly nothing like watching them come out of their shell. What started as sleepy little snugglers are turning into adorable, playful, opinionated little characters — and we are absolutely here for every second of it.

We want to take a moment to honor their mama, our sweet Nala 🌟 — this is her last little ones, and watching her be a mom one last time has been such a gift. She has been absolutely devoted to these six, and the love she pours into them every day is something we will never forget. While it’s bittersweet knowing this is her last, we can’t wait to watch her step into her next role — chief nanny to all the future K&M babies. 🐾👑 She’s earned it.

We are so grateful to be on this journey and so excited for the families waiting for these precious ones. Stay tuned — the best is yet to come! 💛

🌿✨ Six Weeks Old & Thriving! ✨🌿

Our Enchanted Girls turned 6 weeks old this past Sunday, and we couldn’t be more in love with these two! 🥹💛

To kick off the week, Briar and Wren had their first vet visit Monday — and both girls came home with a perfect bill of health! 🏥✅ We are SO proud of how well they handled everything!

And honestly? These girls just keep amazing us. 🙌

🚗 They were absolute rockstars on the car ride there and back — calm, curious, and soaking it all in like the little champs they are.

🌿 They’ve been doing beautifully with going outside and are already starting to understand that outside is the place to potty! 🐾

🚪 We started by carrying them out the door, but now? They follow me right out and back in on their own. Just like that. 🤩

These two are growing, learning, and blossoming every single day — and we are just so incredibly proud of our Enchanted Girls. 🌸

Briar & Wren, you have already stolen every heart around here. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes you. 💛🐾

🎂🐾 Happy 7th Birthday to Nova & Ryker’s babies — who are most definitely NOT babies anymore! 🥹✨

Seven years ago, these sweet souls were our very first little ones here at K&M, and I honestly cannot believe how much time has flown. Watching them grow from tiny, wiggly pups into the beautiful, full-grown Goldens they are today has been one of the greatest joys of this journey. 🐕💛

They weren’t just our first little ones — they were the ones who started it all. The ones who showed us what this was really about. And because of them, so much has changed, grown, and become what K&M Golden Retrievers is today. 🏡❤️

🌿✨ The Enchanted Girls are 5 weeks old! ✨🌿

Briar 💛 and Wren 🩷 hit a big milestone this week — their first adventure in the great outdoors! They got to feel real grass under their tiny paws and breathe in all that fresh Northern Michigan air… along with approximately one million mosquitoes 😅🦟

Mama Athena was SO ready to play with her girls. She had the zoomies, the wiggles, the whole welcome-to-the-world energy — and Briar and Wren were like, “That’s great, Mom. Can we eat though?” 😂🍼

These two are the absolute sweetest. We cannot wait to continue to watch them grow! 🐾💛🌸

Today our family pauses to remember. 🇺🇸

We spent this Memorial Day the way it was meant to be spent grateful and mindful of the men and women who gave everything so we could have days like this one.

Freedom isn’t free, and the people who paid for it deserve more than a day off — they deserve to be remembered.

To every Gold Star family, to every veteran who carries a name in their heart that never comes home — we see you today. Thank you will never be enough, but we mean it with everything we have.
