Looking for a little more freedom for your dog to roam?

Not every property is suited for a traditional fence, but that doesn't mean you can't explore other options!

SkyShepherd uses GPS technology to help create boundaries for your dog, giving them more space to enjoy while helping them learn where they can and can't go.

Curious if SkyShepherd could work for your property? Stop by Leashes + Leads and chat with our team! We can help you learn more about the system and what to consider before getting started.

Because a little extra room to run can make a big difference!

🎃 Our Halloween Party is Coming Up!

Join us at Leashes & Leads on the evening of October 30th for a fun night of Halloween festivities! Bring the whole family, furry members included, for food, drinks, trick-or-treating for dogs and kids, and our Halloween costume contest!

🏆 The Costume Contest is the highlight of the night, and we want to see YOU participate! We’ll have two categories, with prizes up for grabs!

1. Individual Costumes: Show off your dog’s Halloween best! Whether they’re spooky, silly, or just plain adorable, we want to see them strut their stuff.

2. Group Costumes: Get creative and bring the whole crew! Groups can include multiple dogs, a dog and their people, or the entire family. The more creative, the better!

We would LOVE to see our L&L families come out and join the contest! This is the perfect opportunity to show off all that costume creativity, have some fun together, and maybe even take home a prize. Start planning your costumes now because we can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!

The Barky Bus is parking for the winter!

October is our last month of Barky Bus transportation before we take our seasonal winter break beginning in November.

We expect service to return around April, but we haven't set an official return date just yet!

If your dog currently rides the Barky Bus, please plan ahead for November and chat with our team about your Playcare transportation needs. We'll continue sharing updates as we get closer to spring!

Rainy days aren't for everyone! 🌧️

While our training dogs were having a blast running around in the rain on Thursday, some of our Structured Play pups, like Boomer and Lexie, would much rather stay dry!

They braved the rain for their potty breaks, but when it came to playgroup, they preferred to hang out with their friends indoors.

Rain or shine, we make sure every pup has a fun day filled with playtime, friends, and a little something that suits their style!

Splish, Splash, and Lots of Wagging Tails! 🌧️

Thursday brought rain all day, but that didn’t stop our training dogs from having a blast outside! They enjoyed playgroup, running around, playing with friends, and embracing the wet weather.

As much fun as it is to watch them get their paws muddy, it’s also a great learning opportunity! Getting positive exposure to rain, wind, and other everyday weather helps dogs build confidence and learn that these experiences aren’t scary. This can help them feel more comfortable during thunderstorms and other noisy or unfamiliar weather.

Who says you can’t have fun in the rain? Just look at these happy, wet faces!

👑 Happy 3rd Birthday to our Playcare beauty queen, Ruby! 👑

Ruby the Yorkie-Poo Bichon is officially THREE, and this little lady knows how to celebrate in style! She was an absolute angel for her birthday photos, happily soaking up all the attention and sitting as pretty as can be while patiently waiting for her well-deserved treat. She knew she was the star of the show!

Of course, no birthday celebration would be complete without a cupcake, and Ruby was READY for hers! She must have been extra hungry because she happily gobbled up her entire birthday cupcake. Not a crumb left behind for this birthday girl!

When Ruby isn’t busy looking fabulous, you can usually find her hanging out with her sister, Roxy. These two love nothing more than curling up in the laps of our staff members, supervising all the Playcare happenings, and making sure everyone knows they are around. And when they aren't busy overseeing operations, they love playing together! Of course, just like any sisters, their playtime sometimes comes with a little extra barking and yelling at each other. They may have their disagreements, but they certainly keep each other entertained!

Ruby has perfected the art of being equal parts princess and supervisor, and we wouldn't have it any other way! Between her beautiful photo poses, her love for attention, and her hilarious sisterly antics with Roxy, she brings so much personality to our Playcare crew.

Help us wish Ruby the happiest 3rd birthday! We hope her special day was filled with plenty of treats, cuddles, attention, and all the things this little queen loves most. Happy Birthday, Ruby! We love having you and Roxy as part of our pack! 💗

A little throwback to one of our favorite moments with Shep!

One day this summer, we were out enjoying Structured Play when Shep surprised us all with a howl! We had no idea he had that voice in him, so of course we had to grab a video!

It was such a cool sound, and we could have listened to him sing all day! Some of the little moments with our pups are just too special not to share. ❤️

Turn your volume up and enjoy Shep’s little summer serenade! 🎶

🌊Kinley had a SPLASHING good time during his boarding stay with us!

This Lab mix is a true water lover, and when it was time for a pond trip, he was right in his element! With his love for the water and some pretty impressive swimming skills, Kinley was ready to make the most of every minute!

Nothing beats a happy pup getting to do what he loves most!
