Life lately 🐾🤎

Usually I’m much more active with posting photos and sharing little pieces of life, but lately I’ve been in such an interesting season that I’ve found myself slowing down a bit and stepping back from the creative side of things.

I recently transitioned into van life, which has been a HUGE change and definitely a new pace of life for me. I’m learning to take things a little slower, be more present, and enjoy where life is taking me rather than feeling like I always need to be doing more.

That doesn’t mean work is slowing down, though! If anything, this new lifestyle is giving me more energy, flexibility, and excitement to pour into my work and the dogs I get to spend my days with. 🐶✨

I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who continues to trust me with your pups and supports me through all of life’s changes. This season has been an interesting one, but I’m excited for what’s ahead and cannot wait to continue servicing your dogs. 🐾

Sometimes a full grooming appointment looks a little different than what people expect—and that’s okay. 🤍

For some dogs, comfort and safety always come before achieving the “perfect” haircut. During appointments, that can mean:

• Taking plenty of breaks to let them rest and reset. Grooming involves a lot of standing, and that can be tiring, especially for senior dogs or those with health concerns.
• Using different drying techniques based on what your dog tolerates best.
• Shaving out matted areas. While it may not always look the prettiest at first, removing painful mats helps your pup feel so much more comfortable.
• Keeping appointments within a time frame they can comfortably handle. Brushing, standing, and being around other dogs can become overwhelming if an appointment goes on too long.

Zoomie’s appointment was about 2.5 hours, and our main goal was making him feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while still honoring as much of Mom’s haircut request as we could.

He left feeling so much lighter and cooler, and that’s a win in my book. 💚 I’m already looking forward to seeing him again! Once his shaved spots grow back in, we’ll be able to work toward a more breed-standard trim.

Every dog deserves a grooming experience that’s tailored to them—not just their haircut. 🐾

Camping season is upon us 🏕️

* Friendly reminder to get your pup on a flea & tick med. The ticks are already out & about - we have found a handful on dogs in the salon already. Lyme disease is no joke! Contact your vet for the best recommendation on what brand / option for your dog.
