Hey everyone!

I wanted to circle back with an update and keep things transparent. After a lot of thought (and yes, a fair bit of back-and-forth on my end), I’ve decided to move forward with breeding Kinney to Blue.

We’ll know in about a month whether she took - it’s not a guarantee - but we’re hopeful. And if not, that’s okay too.

Some of you may remember I initially decided against this pairing due to timing concerns. As things shook out, though, the timing ended up being more workable than I expected. With the current waitlist, my earlier concern about puppies going home at a tough time for families isn’t really an issue anymore. I’ve also made sure Bowie won’t miss out on anything, which was important to me.

At the end of the day, I put a lot (probably too much) thought into these decisions - but I always come back to what’s best for the dogs. I truly appreciate the support, no matter which direction I land.

Right now, everyone is doing well. Blue dropped quite a bit of weight, so if he looks lean in upcoming posts, I’m aware and already addressing it. Kinney, on the other hand, is living her best life - eating everything in sight and fully embracing the pampered princess treatment.

Ultrasound is scheduled for May 5th, so for now, we wait.
