When we moved to Arizona, we did it completely blind. We loaded everything we owned into our horse trailer and headed to a state we’d never even been to before.

Not long after we got there, we met a local guy named Wyatt. He took us in, had us over all the time, and made us feel welcome when we were 16Β½ hours away from home and just trying to figure life out.

During that year, Wyatt taught Trevor how to shoe horses. For a couple of young kids chasing a dream, being able to shoe our own horses saved us a lot of money and helped us keep moving forward.

The knowledge Trevor gained from Wyatt that year has been invaluable. It’s one of those skills that has paid for itself a thousand times over, and it’s something we still benefit from today.

Funny how the people who take the time to help you when you’re young and struggling can leave a mark on your life for years to come. We’re sure grateful Wyatt was one of those people.

You guys, I got Trevor off a horse long enough for us to sneak away to OKC and have a night together.

No sale, no vet appointment, no horses to drop off or pick up, not even a horse trailer attached to the pickup! Just the two of us.

We had an absolute blast, and you guys Gordon Ramsay is not just hype. Hell’s Kitchen was DELICIOUS. πŸ”₯

Sometimes it’s nice to put work on pause and remember why you started doing life together in the first place. ❀️
