And now the youngest of the babies 😍🩷 Another heifer baby from #2205 Tiana and Titus.

We ended up with4 bull babies and 6 Heifer babies, and they’re some pretty babies at that! This little one being maybe the daintiest of all, but I know she’ll grow just like the others are!!

Mama is doing great and she’s got an amazing udder for this being her 2nd calf. Plus baby is super friendly which always makes it better!

I kinda wanna call her Charlotte since her mama is Tiana but that may not stick… We’ll see… 😉

Not a lot going on around the farm right now, other than trying to get the girls bred for spring calving next year, which has went decently well so far, aside from trying to get the last 5 bred 🙄 but I’m hopeful that we’ll mend that this week! Fingers crossed…

Now for better news 😉 Our last spring babies were born and I’ll introduce the older of the 2 first….

#1803 Lily was springing 2 weeks ago and it’s no wonder, BECAUSE

Just some pretty babies 😍

Marvel & Pebbles - Pebbles was nursing and Marvel was attempting to be a little milk thief, even though he just got done nursing his own mama.

This week we’re getting the last 5 cows set up to hopefully get them bred and then we’ll move everyone to pasture for the summer. I’m excited to see all these calves grow up together. They’re all on the right track so far.

Probably the prettiest girl on the place (shhhhhh, don’t tell the others!!)

Jezebelle, our homegrown Black Magic daughter, is just so fancy. She’s had a rough go raising calves, losing both her first calf 2 years ago and her bull calf last season at just 3 days old… but we’re hopeful she’ll have better luck this fall.

She was a.i. bred to S A V Bismarck 5682 with conventional semen and she hasn’t shown any signs of coming back into heat since she was bred, so we’re thinking she took.

I’m praying for a healthy pregnancy and an uneventful birth when the time comes. 🙏🐮

I’m thinking Lily is our next lady to calve! She and Tiana are the only 2 left for the early season, and Tiana is just starting to bag up. Lily is showing some loosening around her v***a, as well as her udder is really starting to swell. 😁 Maybe 2 weeks out if I had to guess…

Took a quick trip to Shady this morning to check on the heifers and a few of the big cows. Of course I couldn’t post just one pic of Waffles, so you get 2 😉

We a.i. bred Waffles and Pixie to S A V Bismarck 5682 with conventional semen and I’m praying both ladies took, but we won’t know for a few more days. Maybelle won’t be bred until this fall with her dam, and all the other fall calving cows. Boy is she pretty to look at though!
