EDIT: Happy edit, I cut into ours at 9:45 and it's lovely! So hopefully the same is true for all the others that looked better from the get-go!
Good morning, bakery friends!
For everyone who ordered Honey Butter loaves this week, please let me know if you're displeased at all with your bread -- my poor tiny fridge couldn't chill so many loaves fast enough and I had some over proofing for the first time in many, many moons.
I've honestly never had a loaf over proof as much as the one pictured. Thankfully, since I had increased the number of HB I was making at the last minute, I had intended one loaf for my family. π€£
So yeah, just let me know. It's one of my more expensive loaves because honey and butter are expensive ingredients, and as always I want you all to be completely happy with your purchase! They're baking up nice, but sometimes what you see on the outside isn't completely reflective of what you get on the inside.
Also, for anyone who hasn't had one before, they DO look and feel different than my other loaves because they're "enriched" with butter and honey. So differences are expected, but if they're too dense due to over proofing let me know! Sometimes over proofed loaves are the absolute best, so it's all just a guessing game until someone cuts into a loaf today. π€£π€£π€£
