Also offering Agility for fun, CGC & Therapy Dog Training. Versatility classes offer activities from many different dog sports. Building Rentals, and Private lessons offered. Sneak preview of next upcoming puppy class, CATAWBA
Puppies need to be 12 weeks old by June 13, 2026. Because of this hybrid format, you can start homeschooling with them even as early as 9 weeks of age!
Registration is due by 3:00 pm on Monday, May 18, 2026.
More information and your first lessons will be emailed once registration closes.
The first email includes a shopping reference guide, your first “puppy management” homework, and the first lesson teaching focus & attention – an IMPORTANT BASIC SKILL.
The three scheduled IN-PERSON classes will be held on SATURDAYS on the following days: June 13, June 27, July 18.
Class time is 10:00am on the dates listed above. A second time slot may be added at 1:15 if the 10am slot is filled. If there is a weather event, classes may be later that day, or moved to Sunday that weekend. We will address this if necessary.
Email lessons will be sent before and during/in between those dates to keep students moving forward with lessons.
This puppy class format runs for approximately 10 weeks.
Class sizes are limited to 10 maximum to allow for personal attention. If more than 10 students enroll for this class, additional options will be offered.
After each in-person class, a personalized recap of what was accomplished is sent to students, with notes about what needs more work depending on your particular class activities.
Please note that this is a HYBRID-style learning class. There are emails sent with your lessons, and IN-PERSON classes scheduled intermittently, to go over the material. This has been VERY successful so far for the previous students who have participated. It IS a lot of work, but the results are AMAZING. We are trying to keep dogs in training, define/increase social skills for the puppies, while allowing a flexible training environment.

So You Want Your Dog to Become a Therapy Dog?
GREAT – You are invited to come to this free event to learn more about the exciting opportunities and considerations necessary to become a therapy dog team with your favorite furry friend. Topics will include specifying the requirements of the dog and the handler for Pet Therapy, and information on how to get started. The session will provide an overview of Pet Partners Therapy Animal Programs, the nation’s largest nonprofit organization that registers volunteer teams (human & pet) to provide animal-assisted interventions.

You MUST register in advance for this “human only” event (email Val to register). Classes that include the canine participants will be offered when demand has been determined.

Pet Partners Therapy Animal Programs are for those interested in volunteering in their community by sharing a beloved pet with others. Volunteers choose where they would most like to donate their time and determine their own schedule and level of commitment. Whether the handler feels passionately connected to a cause such as Alzheimer’s, enjoys working with specific populations such as Veterans, or looks forward to reading with children, the therapy team will affect a difference locally. Pet Partners certification process, registers volunteer therapy teams that are widely regarded as prepared, professional, and welcomed in thousands of venues throughout the country and worldwide. The benefits of the visits to the recipients are indisputable, while the body of supporting research grows daily. If you and your pet would like to give back to your community while deriving joy, fulfillment, and personal satisfaction by volunteering, consider becoming involved with the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program.

You are invited to attend this event to learn more about the considerations and requirements of therapy teams. The session will be presented by Janet Ellis, educator, experienced Pet Partner Therapy dog handler, and Pet Partners Therapy Team Evaluator. Her Therapy Dog Team has logged over 800 hours in the past 6 years credited to therapy visits in local facilities. We will also have a representative from Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD) present at this event to answer your questions.
