From the desk of Mayor Dean:

As you know, we have several construction projects in town right now, ranging from upgraded sewer lines to the construction of a new Go Mart, and improvements and additions to Little General. Once completed, these projects will revitalize and enhance our little town. We are actively seeking and encouraging new business's to Burnsville. Citizens have expressed a need to have a bank, a restaurant, and a hair salon, just to name a few.

Over the last two years, with grants and outside funding, we have transformed our recreational facilities with upgraded playground equipment, improvements to the basketball courts, the construction of Pickleball courts, a walking path along the river and coming soon a kayak/canoe access to the Little Kanawha river, next to the swinging bridge.

Now we call on our citizens to do their part. As part of the revitalization efforts, we are asking those that have dilapidated homes and/or buildings and those that have had homes lost to fire, please tear down and clear your property of debris. By making and keeping our town attractive, it will encourage new families and business's to want to make a home here.

Thank you.
Chris Dean
