So proud of Tanner Estorf for his work on the Cal Pattern Abyssinian. His sow: Chaotic Cavies Mango was Judges Choice Youth show B yesterday at the Show in Fond Du Lac WI. Comments are very favorable from the judge on Cal Pattern on Abyssinians. Abys are tough with their rosettes and placements being the majority of points. So this is a very nice award to be given out.

We have her full brother here, Chaotic Cavies Apple. They were born out of PF Cal Pattern and their red sow. Big congrats Tanner and Mango! Way to go!

Meet Lakeview Mystery Man aka: Magic Mike. He's a Dilute Agouti Dalamatian American from Kevin Brown at Lakeview Caviary. We are honored to give this guy a purpose making unique colored Dals. We appreciate Kevin letting us own him. Now to get him set up doing his job! We do love odd projects here at Priceless Farms.

HE IS AVAILABLE

PF Mal is a Golden Agouti/Red/White Lunkarya boar.
He was born in December 2025.
We held him back for months to get him on a transport to Canada which never happened. So I advertised him for sale and through connections a family was interested. I thought I could read people pretty well and so I felt the family was very eager and happy to own one. No negative reports were made to me or even concerns that they couldn't care for him. They even purchased two more boars from other sources to give him buddies.

Got a call this morning from a friend who recognized his breed was unique and has been surrendered to a shelter. So through a very nice network of friends, we got Mal back.

All my pigs come with a clause you can always bring them back to me, I will even take their bonded buddies. So that this type of thing doesn't happen.

He was very matted and had lots of bites from his buddies all over him. So he had a half cut. He still retains his locks upfront though. He's had it rough for a few months I think. He's had a nice bath and manicure, hopefully he can find a loving home somewhere else now. He's not the best representative of the Lunky breed as his mother was Peruvian but he's pretty darn cute.

There are times when you hold back/ grow-out brood stock. "What's Brood Stock?" It's animals that don't quite fit the Standard they fall under, or do fit but wouldn't be a competitive animal. They don't get the spotlight much because they are behind the scenes of the Caviary. Brood Stock are just as important as a show animal. Since my Dalmatian program is so small, and sows are hard to come by, we retain the not so competitive girls. As long as there are no huge disqualifications going on.

I really like this lady.

Priceless Farms Neya, she doesn't quite have enough spots to be a Dalamatian, and just too spotty to be a Roan. But dang she's a nice animal. Love her body, build, head, and eye. Ears could be better, but really like her.
Neya comes out of a Lakeview Caviary Dalmatian and a Coulee Caviary Black Self. I'm going to cross my fingers she produces spotty kiddos.

NOT FOR SALE

PF Embrace (GA/Red/White Broken Coronet) had her litter sometime yesterday I'm guessing by umbilical cord drying. I missed them on the night check. I know why though because they are expert hair hiders. They lay under her side sweeps since I leave longhairs long on the sides and only cut butts. I found them peeking out under her locks this morning and that's where they run too. Also to her cage mates coats.
This litter was ALL Coronet. Score!

Sire is BMD Falcon (Red and White Broken Silkie). We know he produces Coronet often so he came through this litter. No dilutes this time.

Yoinks - A TSW (nice one at that) Coronet boar.

Yippee- Red and White Broken Coronet boar. Mostly red.

Yvonne- Red and White Broken Coronet Sow. Mostly white

Yasmina- Red and White Broken Coronet Sow nicely patched

The amount of AI baloney and false information on cavies and in general, is becoming almost comical. There are so many AI generated posts on breeds, idea weight charts, foods, medical jargon ect... and I haven't seen even one of them being accurate. Not even a little wrong, like all of them are majorly wrong. It's sad because the amount of likes, hearts, and positive feedback is astronomical. Which means the public views this and accepts it as real. If it looks odd, painted/filtered, too much to be true, if it doesn't look normal, it isn't.

We also added this big guy to our Caviary.

Thank you to Kati Scheuermann for selling us this handsome Brindle Aby boar, we know how much you love the Abys 😁. She picked this guy up at Specialty from Hubnik's in Texas.

Hubnik's Yee Haw aka: Longmont will be doing our roans a favor and making some Tri for us. He's large and in charge which helps our petite lines get some size.

We entered 5 cavy for this weekends show in Colfax, IA. I couldn't attend personally, SCIRBA's "Old MacDonald Had a Show" Double Open shows, so my show buddy Rachel Boucher put them on the tables for me.
We had an awesome accomplishment!
Our Black Aby is at it again.

Priceless Farms Lei It On aka: Luau was Reserve in Show for Show A under Judge Nancy Richmond and Show B Under Judge Hannah Dunlap. We are so happy she's doing so well. She hasn't even hit Senior weight yet.
Unfortunately no pictures were taken of the winning pigs for these shows. There are videos though.
She came home with a few pretty SCIRBA Best of Breed Bandanas and her RIS ribbons. She's a good looking gal.
