Across America Boxer Rescue

Across America Boxer Rescue "Rescuing Without Borders" Our Rescue is an all volunteer effort to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxer dogs.

When Boxers are in need, Across America Boxer Rescue's dedicated volunteers respond. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education. Our rescue is dedicated in helping as many Boxers that have had a very "ruff" start for whatever reason. All Boxers that come into our rescue will be examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested, (placed on heart worm preventive

medication) and fecal tested, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We will evaluate each Boxer's personality and temperament, so they can be placed in the best home suited for them. If you are interested in adopting, please submit our online adoption application for review and processing.

With all of our hearts, we thought we could save her so we tried. Her will to stay with us was big and strong, but her tiny body just was not. This morning around 8am, Dr Rowland let me know that Esme had seriously declined. While talking over a plan of action to try to turn her around, things got much worse and we were in the middle of making the tough decision to let her go, her precious little heart made the decision for us. Despite CPR attempts, we lost her.

From a happy, playful, energetic, always hungry little girl to this in 24 hours. We are all in disbelief and we are devastated. Once we get her pathology back from her surgery last week, we hope to have a better understanding of what all was going on with her.

What we do know is that Esme was loved by so many. Everyone who helped her over the past month, everyone who prayed, donated for her or just shared her post, to everyone at Heartland Veterinary Hospital who got to spend precious time with her and took such wonderful care of her, to the familes who offered to temp foster her and adopt her. Thank you all ❤️

We will wipe our tears, take a deep breath, and we will keep going.

In memory of our girl
Esme ❤️
