While we love celebrating Independence Day, fireworks and festivities can be stressful for our furry friends.

Here are a few reminders to help keep your pets safe this holiday:
• Keep pets indoors during fireworks.
• Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date.
• Provide a comfortable place indoors where they can feel secure. Use music, white noise, or a fan to help muffle the sound of fireworks.
• Keep human food, alcohol, sparklers, and fireworks out of reach.
• If you need to take your pet outside, always use a leash. Even pets who never run can be startled.
