Gucci got his very first bath today and he was such a good boy through the whole thing 🐓🫧 So proud of how much this once-untouched kill pen horse continues to trust and learn every single day. Watching his confidence grow has been the most rewarding journey šŸ¤

This video shows pieces of his journey so far. Not perfection. Not a finished horse. Just real progress, patience, consistency, and learning each other one day at a time.

Horses like Gucci teach you to slow down, listen, and celebrate the little wins. ✨

Follow along as we continue documenting Gucci’s training journey and transformation.

An hour and a half working with Gucci today šŸ’Ŗ
When we got him, he had never been touched at all.

This untouched kill pen horse is starting from zero—learning pressure and release through natural horsemanship, one step at a time.

We kept it simple in the round pen—moving his feet, asking for two eyes, and slowly desensitizing him to us being close. At first, everything was scary… but little by little, he’s starting to understand.

Today he stood a little longer, relaxed a little more, and gave us just a bit more trust.

No shortcuts with a horse like this—just patience, consistency, and showing up every day.

This is what starting over really looks like 🐓

Desensitizing Rusty🐓

Today we worked on something a lot of horses struggle with — noise and movement around their sides.

This 4-year-old gelding came to us completely unhandled… and today we’re starting to see a change.

Right now, we’re focused on something simple but HUGE — teaching him to give us two eyes.
Instead of turning away or avoiding pressure, he’s beginning to face us, think, and stay present.

That might not look like much to some people… but with a horse like this, it’s everything.

Each small step builds trust:
• Standing a little longer
• Letting us get closer
• Accepting touch without fear

And today was a big one — we were even able to braid his mane and work out a wind knot, and he didn’t freak out.
For a horse that started off unhandled, that’s a huge level of trust.

We’re not rushing him — just showing him that people don’t always mean pressure.

This is what starting over looks like. No shortcuts, just patience.
