๐บ๐ธ The loudest day of the year is almost here! ๐บ๐ธ
While we enjoy the fireworks, many pets experience fear, anxiety, panic, and even attempts to escape during Fourth of July celebrations.
If your pet has a history of noise sensitivity, now is the time to prepare. Don't wait until the last minute to request anxiety medication refills or schedule an exam if your pet has never received calming medications before.
Fourth of July Pet Safety Tips:
โ Keep pets indoors during fireworks
โ Make sure microchip and ID tags are current
โ Create a quiet, comfortable safe space
โ Close windows, doors, and curtains
โ Play calming music or white noise
โ Start prescribed medications BEFORE fireworks begin
โ Never bring pets to fireworks displays
Some pets may benefit from medications such as trazodone, gabapentin, or a combination of both, depending on their individual needs.
๐ Call us early for refill requests and anxiety consultations to avoid holiday delays.
