Suit / Suity Boy / Suitman is a quirky, funny, delightfully squirrely little guy with a big personality hiding behind a somewhat shy exterior. He can be a little nervous, especially when meeting new people, and he may need some time to decide that you are, in fact, a Very Good Human. But once he feels safe and gets comfortable with you, his sweet and silly personality really starts to shine.
Suity is an absolute goofball when he’s in a playful mood. He loves springs, mouse toys, feathers, the ball track, and pretty much anything that gives him an excuse to pounce, chase, or zoom around. One of his favorite activities is pouncing on his mom and sister through the tunnel, which is apparently excellent entertainment for everyone involved. He has a wonderfully playful, kittenish energy and can be very funny to watch when he gets going.
He can also be a bit of a cautious little guy. New people and unfamiliar situations can make him nervous, and he may initially be a little squirrely when you try to pet him. But there is a very sweet boy underneath that uncertainty. Once Suity feels safe and realizes he can trust you, he leans right into pets and absolutely loves the attention. He just needs you to give him a little time to get there.
And mornings are when his softest side really comes out. When we go into the kitten room to greet him, Suity is often there ready to say hello with the loudest little purr! It is ridiculously cute and one of our favorite things about him. He may be shy, but once he knows his people, he has plenty to say and plenty of affection to give.
Suity is also very food motivated, which is always helpful when making friends! He especially loves Churu treats and has learned that the sound of a can of food opening means something very exciting is about to happen. He will come running when he hears it, because priorities are priorities.
He does okay with dogs, although he can be wary at first and would need slow, respectful introductions. He would do best in a calm home where he can have the time and space to settle in at his own pace. Most importantly, we think Suity would really benefit from having another friendly, confident cat or two around. A feline buddy would give him someone to play with, nap beside, and learn from, and having that companionship will help him feel more secure and continue coming out of his shell.
Once Suity is comfortable, he has a lovely calm side, too. After all the pouncing and playing, he is perfectly happy to curl up somewhere cozy and settle in for a good long nap. He is a little quirky, a little silly, a little cautious, and completely adorable.
Suity may not be the kind of kitty who marches right up to a stranger and immediately demands to be picked up, but that's part of what makes earning his trust so special. Give this funny little guy some patience, a cozy spot, a kitty friend, and maybe a Churu or two, and you'll get to watch him blossom into the sweet, affectionate companion we know he can be. 💕
