PET-PAC LLC The pet survival and travel pack. http://www.pet-pac.com You may be asked to evacuate your home w And so PET-PAC LLC was born.

As we watched news coverage of hurricane Katrina, California’s wildfires and mudslides, devastating snow storms in the Midwest, tornados, floods, and as we live with the ever-present threat of the next big earthquake in Southern California, we realized that we need to have emergency survival supplies on hand for our ENTIRE family. After much research, we were surprised to discover that although pet owners spend over $30 BILLION per year on their furry, feathered and scaled family members, there was very little available in the way of emergency preparedness and survival supplies. We are excited to offer you quality pet survival and travel products at reasonable prices. You may be asked to evacuate your home with only a few moments’ notice. Gather your kids, your pet, your survival kits, your family mementos and get to safety. We think you’ll be pleased with our products, and we welcome your business and suggestions. Or, please put your own kit together. Either way, your pet will thank you.

These are what heroes look like; and we don't use that term lightly. Deputy Jack Thorpe and K9 Fiji spent 10 days in Western North Carolina searching for the missing. Jack and Fiji located more than 20 adults and children who had been reported missing, giving their families peace of mind in knowing where their loved ones are and the ability to give them a proper burial. As I type this I'm brought to tears thinking about some of the things they encountered and find myself wondering how heavy it must be for all of the SAR teams to carry around the memories of what they have encountered in the aftermath of Helene.

While details don't need to be shared, I will leave you with this, it takes a special kind of person to knowingly volunteer to go and search through hell and mud all in the name of giving families and communities closure. To say we are proud of Jack, K9 Fiji, and all of the other SAR teams would be a gross understatement. You guys are our unsung heroes, and for that, we will all be forever grateful.

"We are done. We are tired and sore, but we did our best. God bless the people of Western NC and surrounding states who lost so much."
