We specialize in the safety and/or re-homing of Pekingese, whether they are seniors or young dogs. Fork found WittWitt passed out near the open liquor cabinet and immediately did what any sensible dog would do: panic, call for backup, and gather a group of Pekingese with absolutely no useful skills. The others arrived with plenty of opinions, questionable theories, and solutions that ranged from useless to making everything worse. Nobody knew what happened, nobody wanted responsibility. Cute is about all we can offer here....

If you’re wondering what all the noise is about—you’ve arrived at the most important part of the day: dinner time. The dogs are barking, Possum has started his completely unscheduled Iscream concert, and Hermes has located the nearest frog because dinner preparation requires a security briefing. Nobody knows what the frog did, but Hermes intends to make sure it understands who’s in charge. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is providing the soundtrack. It’s basically dinner theater around here, and the food hasn’t even been served yet....

Pete knows exactly where Daddy Person’s truck lives, so naturally, he launched a full-scale search mission. Out the front door he went, straight to the shop—only to discover the doors were down. Undeterred, Pete checked around back. No truck. No Daddy Person. So Pete went with Plan B: sit by Daddy Person’s shoes and wait for the feet to come back. Because Pete knows better than to waste energy looking for Daddy Person when the shoes are clearly the homing beacon....all will be right with the universe as soon as the human returns to the shoes....

Today on Tommy's Tursdays, Apparently, Tommy and Feedler decided to climb into a crate together and wait for Mommy Person to offer them a suitable bribe to come back out. Tommy, naturally, has appointed himself head negotiator. Feedler, a grown-ass adult, has apparently agreed to participate in this hostage situation because Tommy said so. At some point, Tommy began to panic because Mommy Person wasn’t immediately presenting said bribe, and the whole plan started falling apart. So now they’re just sitting in the crate, holding themselves hostage and hoping Mommy Person understands the assignment.🤣🤣🤣

Esther went to visit Grampy, and this tiny, fluffy girl arrived with one mission: visit Grampy and investigate the food situation. Being blind hasn’t slowed her down—Esther simply relies on her nose, her ears, and a highly developed talent for identifying the weakest link in the snack chain. She sweetly visits with Grampy while simultaneously conducting a full-scale food negotiation with everyone within sniffing distance. A little face here, a strategic sniff there, and suddenly someone is saying, “Well… I suppose she could have a little something.” Esther doesn’t beg for food—she conducts tiny, fluffy diplomatic negotiations until the snacks surrender.

We’ve been asked about Aerie and Fork since they came to us about two months ago. We were waiting to be able to report decent news....
When they first arrived on social media people thought they were “Sleeves." They are not. They have both put on the weight they desperately needed, and we can now officially report that they are a healthy normal Pekingese weight.
Fork had surgery for a hernia and, of course, her spay. She is now mostly eating on her own, which is another big step forward.
Aerie was evaluated by our vet and then by the cardiologist. Thankfully, her heart and lungs are healthy. Her biggest issue is a severe collapsing trachea, and her airway is currently smaller than a straw. We’ve been hand-feeding her to get her to eat and we are happy to report she is finally eating on her own, taking her time—which is a BIG win. We pray her trachea will stay stable. Our focus right now is simply on improving their health and keeping them settled in. For now, they are exactly where they need to be. ❤️

Ever since Drac came to live with us, he always loved a little private time. One of his favorite places has always been the shower. Blind and deaf, but he knows a good Soupy when he finds the exact spot. Throw a fluffy bed in the shower and Drac will find his way and relish in the quiet privacy....well....until Possum comes screaming along.... 🤣🤣🤣

Doesn't everyone need to end their week with a tiny little Van Damnit? Claude the Pekingese Fraud....He's so funny....He zips around faster than anyone in the house, stealing toys and snacks before anyone ever even notices.....

Today on Tommy’s Tursdays… Tommy and Drac went shopping, because apparently Drac desperately needed toys, chewy sticks, and several other things he has absolutely no interest in. Aunt Pam had the important job of pushing the cart while Tommy handled the important job of pointing out everything Drac “wanted.” Drac mostly sat there looking elderly and innocent while Tommy ran the entire operation. Tommy firmly believes that being old is no excuse for missing out on a good shopping trip. Naturally, Tommy also found a few things that were clearly for Drac—but somehow ended up in Tommy’s shopping cart. Drac may have been the reason for the trip, but everybody knows who was really in charge. And Aunt Pam? She was just the transportation department while the cart was officially under new management.
