When your pet experiences an emergency, knowing what to expect can help make a stressful situation a little easier.

Here's what happens when you arrive at our ER:

Check-In & Intake Forms
Upon arrival, you'll complete our intake forms while our reception team enters your pet's information into our system.

Triage & Initial Assessment
Just like in human emergency medicine, patients are seen based on the severity of their condition. Our veterinary team will quickly assess your pet to determine the level of care needed and prioritize critical emergencies.

History, Vitals & Examination
A veterinary technician will gather a detailed medical history and take your pet to our treatment area for vital signs and an initial physical examination by the doctor.

Doctor Consultation
Once your paperwork is complete, you'll be escorted to an exam room where the veterinarian will discuss their findings, answer your questions, and review recommended next steps for your pet's care.

Emergency Consultation
Additional charges applied for diagnostics, treatments, and medications as needed.

These can cause dangerous blockages in the stomach or intestines and quickly become life-threatening if left untreated. Warning signs can include unproductive retching or vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, abdominal pain, or difficulty using the bathroom. Quick veterinary attention is key to preventing life-threatening complications and helping pets recover safely. Thankfully this pup is on the road to feeling better! 🐶💙
