Meet Charmin! This gorgeous, recent momma has instantly won over the heart of her foster mom and has won over everyone else sheâs met within minutes! Unfortunately we will never truly know the background of our foster pups, weâve been told Charminâs has a sad story. She also carries over some heartbreaking traits to support this story. She does not like any kind of yelling or sudden quick movements, it makes her immediately cower and become submissive đAlthough sheâs had an unlucky past, she has survived some unlucky events!
Charmin is beyond loving! Honestly if you donât love the idea of having a dog physically touching you and needing you at all times, Charmin is not for you! Her happy place is physically in your lap. AT ALL TIMES! Itâs what foster momma loves best about her. She has been very nervous so she finds comfort in a human. As shes began to open up, sheâs starting to play with stuffies đ§¸. She hasnât met any little kids yet, but her personality makes foster momma believe sheâd be great with kids. However, if the household is an active, loud and chaotic one, it might not be a great space for her to bloom. Although I have no doubt as time goes on she will flourish, a calmer home where she receives majority of attention and cuddles is what she needs to help heal from trauma.
She has been good with dogs sheâs met so far, and has lived with other dogs but when sheâs comfortable she can have a dominant trait and has tried to mount other dogs. Sheâs usually pretty unbothered and laid back for the most part, but as she gets more comfortable she might open up more. NO CATS or small critters for this girl!
Charmin has been working on crate training at night and while foster mom is not home. She keeps it clean. But does whine if sheâs not in the same room as you at night so her crate is right next to the bed! Charmin told me she would much rather be asleep right next to you on the bed! She has not had any accidents in the home but is let out frequently to help potty train just in case!
Charmin does suffer from some separation anxiety, but since sheâs been here sheâs showing improvements every day! Sheâs incredibly smart, catches on quick and is very food motivated. Sheâs quite the mooch so if you are a sucker for the âpuss in bootsâ sad eyes, itâs best not to eat around her or you will succumb to the power of the đĽş! She so badly wants to be loved and needed, and she deserves every bit of it! Some might look at this as a downfall but for those who equally need her in return, she will be your BEST FRIEND and loyal companion as sheâs already shown to be! Charmin is not just a dog, sheâs a survivor and really needs a companion who will devote the same energy to her!
