The lack of healthy foods in what have been called “urban food deserts” is well documented. Just as Jesus’ first followers looked at the hungry

masses and humbly offered five loaves of bread and two fish to feed them, we too respond with compassion by bringing our five city lots and two community gardens to feed the hungry. Our spiritual convictions, along with our neighborhood’s vacant land and eager youth, provide the fertile soil needed for this initiative to grow to meet the need.

5 Loaves Farm... ..plants gardens and creates green houses to grow healthy foods...is committed to making healthy foods available and affordable to our neighbors by offering a CSA and seeking to partner with local markets and school lunch programs...donates a portion of its produce to local soup kitchens...is committed to using sustainable growing practices...provides educational programs for adults and school groups..has internship opportunities available for neighborhood youth throughout the year.

SAVE THE DATE 📣 September 25th is Celebrate the Harvest – our annual street food festival & fundraiser!

Join us the last Friday of September between 5PM and 7:30PM for live music, lawn games, raffle baskets, and a diverse spread of foods made by friends and neighbors of the farm—like Thai, pastelillos, hand pies, pumpkin spice donuts, and more!

Gather as neighbors and friends to eat, play, and celebrate the season—while supporting youth, food access, and the thriving community we’re growing together. Proceeds support the work and programs of 5 Loaves Farm!

🎟️ Entry is free and there will be fundraiser tickets sold at the door. Tickets can be used for the raffle baskets and the many delicious food options that will be available. More details to come!

This year, we’re rallying support to raise $8,000 during Give716 to employ four outstanding youth interns—young people who’ve already shown commitment and growth through previous seasons with us.

It's easy to participate:

1. Pick an hour to give – Every hour has special giving incentives–from $71,600 in available matching donations to bandits tickets for the first 100 donors to donate at least $117.60 or more!

This year, we have a goal to raise $8,000 to employ four youth interns this summer. These are young people who have already shown deep commitment–through multiple seasons–to our farm, to our community, and to their own growth. ❤️

With your help, we can make sure they have a place. 💛

On July 15 & 16, see will participate in the community-wide, online day of giving hosted by the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres Foundations. To be eligible for matching funds, donations must be made through our specific Give716 link during the 24-hour window. That means your gift could be doubled—stretching your impact even further 💫
