Today we are featuring the Eittreim family as our Pet Family of the Month! We are so honored to have the opportunity to participate in the care of amazing pets in our community like Lucy and Trudy. This is what their family has to say about them:

Lucchese (Lucy) is our domesticated moose/English Mastiff. She’s an independent girl, that finds joy in her jolly ball, and playing in the sprinkler. Lucy produces enough gas that scientists blame her for the hole in the ozone layer. If we could figure out how to convert it, we wouldn’t have to worry about gas prices!

Gertrude (Trudy) is our North American House Hippo/Olde English Bulldog. Her physique resembles a Jimmy Dean sausage link, and she really plays the part when she “cooks” herself while basking in the summer sun. The vet says it’s anxiety, but we think she’s psychic as she can sense a thunderstorm hours before it happens. Some may say Trudy has a face only a mother could love, and her mother does indeed love it a lot.

Together, this dynamic duo is your local neighborhood watch. No Amazon delivery driver, teenager sneaking out, or somebody breaking in will make it past these two. They spend their free time (which they have a lot of, must be nice) peering out the curtains, watching the world go by.

Our family is thankful for Buffalo Companion Animal Clinic as they have taken the utmost care of our two girls!

Introducing Arthur, our staff pet of the month!
Arthur, also known as “Artie” is owned by our CSR Jeannie!

Here's what Jeannie says about Artie:
Arthur came to me by a good Samaritan who came into the clinic with him
wrapped in a t-shirt after finding him by the side of the road. Arthur was in
very rough shape, but as soon as I touched him he started to purr and
how could I say no to keeping him. The staff and I thought his fur
was dirty because it is a gray color so we gave him a few baths thinking
it was dirt. Turns out he is a lilac orange tabby which is rare.

Arthur is being raised by our Golden Retriever Ruby, so he thinks he is
a dog and wants to do everything Ruby does including going on walks. He
is not afraid of anything; the vacuum, small humans and other dogs. He
loves to play and always has many toys scattered under chairs and
couches in the house. He can be sweet when he wants to be but most times
he is spicy.

Arthur loves my son and when my son comes home from collage he always
sleeps in Jack's room. When Jack goes back to school Arthur will walk
through the house meowing for Jack. I feel very lucky to have Arthur, he
has brought so much entertainment and love into our hearts. Our lives
would be very boring without him. ❤❤

This month we would like to give a shout out to the Barlow family!
We currently have the pleasure of caring for Louie, Buzz, and Bandit but we are honored to have been their veterinarian for decades! We are so grateful for Walt and Bette and all of their furry family members. Amazing clients like the Barlows are the reason we love what we do!

Staff Pet-of-the-Month!

This is Rebel, he belongs to our vet tech Kenda. He is a 3-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
He has brought so much joy to their house, he loves everyone that will let him lick them! Rebel loves his walks, but also loves to relax almost anywhere. He has many toys, but has only a few that are his favorites. Rebel loves his food, he tries to get fed many times per day, and tries to trick mom and dad into getting fed again.
He also is very good at taking up bed space, despite only being 30lbs, but he seems to think he owns it. He is the best pup, he gets almost anything he wants with his sweet “puppy eyes”. Rebel is such a good boy!
