All cat owners have much to thank Dr. Niels Pedersen and Every Cat Foundation!

Sometimes, he underplays his role but without Dr. Niels Pedersen feline infectious peritonitis would still be considered fatal. Due to drugs we talk about - which you can listen via the link in comments from WGN Radio - FIP is today quite treatable. He's even play a real role in support for people with COVID-19. We discuss other feline diseases that this one man played who also studied brachycephalic dog breeds. Dr. Pedersen is certainly one of the most influential veterinarians over the past 30 years.

Every Cat does wonderful research on many feline health issues. They are a wonderful organization!

Researchers at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine found that feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) infects more immune cells than expected and can persist even after treatment. This discovery challenges long-held assumptions about coronaviruses and may offer new clues into chronic inflammation and conditions like long COVID.
