We had a great group of veterinary student externs from Texas Tech and Oklahoma State this fall🍂🐾 They gained hands-on experience with our team while bringing fresh energy and curiosity to the clinic. We were so glad to have each one of them and can’t wait to see what their future holds!

We are currently looking for feedback on a new product for dogs! There is now an injectable Bravecto on the market. We currently sell the Bravecto tablets, which is the flea/tick prevention chew that lasts for 3 months. This new injectable version lasts for one year! Benefits of the injection would be not having to remember to give the tablet every 3 months, not having to buy the tablet every 3 months, and it would be much easier to give to dogs that currently do not like eating the Bravecto chews. The downside is that the upfront cost would be more than the tablets, as you’d be paying for a year instead of 3 months at a time. Before we launch this product and stock it on our shelves, we were coming to ya’ll to see if anyone would even be interested in it.

NOW is the time to get your horses vaccinated against West Nile Virus if you haven’t already. Each year we see horses in late summer and early fall succumb to this preventable, yet deadly disease. West Nile is typically spread by mosquitos that become infected through migrating birds.

Your veterinarian is the best source of information regarding what vaccines your horse may need based on the viruses endemic to your area and your horses lifestyle and risk factors.

We pay special attention to a variety of factors when choosing a vaccine and when administered by your veterinarian they are backed by the companies vaccine assurance program so you can relax knowing your horse is getting THE BEST protection available anywhere.

This is Eve. She’s been looking for her favorite rope chew toy for days now, but can’t seem to find it anywhere. Don’t worry, Dr Peterman found it yesterday. It was in Eves colon. Eve is happy to be reunited with the toy and her vomiting and abdominal pain have subsided. She has lost unsupervised play privileges, but she doesn’t seem to mind.
