Help Support Pets & People in Chaffee County 🐾

Ark-Valley Humane Society and Chaffee County Community Foundation are forming a Community Pet Fund Committee, and we're looking for community members who want to get involved!

The Community Pet Fund helps low-income Chaffee County pet owners access essential veterinary care when financial circumstances create a barrier to treatment.

Committee members will help review applications for assistance, support fundraising and community awareness efforts, and help strengthen the Community Pet Fund for the future.

Members should expect to participate in monthly virtual meetings, assist with application reviews between meetings, and contribute to occasional fundraising and outreach efforts.

Willie is good at many things! ❤️🐾

Willie is a 3-year-old Corgi mix weighing in at around 35 pounds who is ready to make a new friend! He knows how to sit, sit pretty, lie down, and roll over—and he’s happy to show off his skills.

Willie was reported to be potty trained in a previous home, and he did well with other dogs. He has also met a cat! Since coming to the shelter, Willie has met other dogs and has done well with them.

He also enjoyed a recent off-site adventure, where he did well riding in the car and seeing other people and dogs while on leash.

Now, Willie is ready to meet his adopter and start his next adventure. Could you be his new best friend?
