Catalyst pch,hcp, has been defunct for a number of years. Visit our equine assisted therapy page, Half-Halt Inc., which continues much of the work of Catalyst but focusing on the therapy programs rather than equine rescue.

Our profile photo is of Ike (left) and Sparky (right). Sparky has since gone to a wonderful retirement home with Stephanie Morris who lives near Scottsville. Stephanie reported last winter that her non-verbal autistic son, whom Sparky was sent to especially bless, responded to Sparky's being in his life by beginning to match real words to real actions and needs/feelings in his life. I have known Sparky since he was 3 when I finish trained him for the W&LU riding program, happily sent him to a home with 5 natural children and 5 foster children, and then bought him for our program when his owner went off to college and career. Stubborn, a little grumpy, and a miraculous equine life who gift just keeps on giving!!

Also-- we have some horses that must find homes by the end of July: gorgeous large pony/small horse 5 year old mare started under saddle and ready to go on with her life;

16-hand TB gelding slightly lame from a racing injury who is on "borrowed time" because all the TB rescues contacted told us they would just have to "put him down" if he came there (can be ridden lightly and is a sweetie pie);

14.2 hand large pony will jump the moon but also knows how to jump out of his pasture fence, needs experienced rider willing to jump big with him!
