Chuck and Mary Hawley started the farm out of their love for the Arabian horse and the pleasure they found watching their daughters and grand daughters ride and show horses. Their two daughters, Keri Esqueda an
d Alison Pigott grew up riding and showing in La Habra Heights. In those days the girls did everything on their own. From the purchasing of the horses, to the daily care and training, the girls were a team of two together with their horses. Many years later Mary and Chuck purchased a very special pony named Kokomo for their grand daughters Caitlin Pigott and Sarah Esqueda. Koko lived to be 40 years old and never lost his wonderful spirit. The girls learned so much from him and much of those lessons still benefit them today as they continue to ride and show Arabian horses. Highland Pride Arabians has grown substantially from those early days. They have three beautiful stallions; Psytation EA +/, Krusayder +// and 2013 National Champion Afire N Flames CB. In addition, the farm has many horses in training in all divisions and a wonderful collection of young horses sired by their own stallions. The farm boasts many National Champion show horses, some wonderful young horses, and a barn full of retired horses along with their gorgeous stallions. These horses and the love of family are the Pride of Highland Pride Arabians. The wonderful horses of Highland Pride have a variety of accomplishments in the open, amateur and youth divisions at the national level.
