ls slope to tree-lined Onion Creek affording opportunities to trail ride, stroll with a friend, or even catch a fish on a quiet afternoon. Horses enjoy daily turnout, a customized training program, memory foam stall mattresses, and regular rides in the large outdoor arena and riding field. Monarch Stables trainers Kalli Smith and Amy Gangstad work together to provide a coordinated training program for each horse and rider. Both trainers emphasize the importance of correct flat work in developing finished show horses and skillful child and adult riders. Each brings years of experience and her own style to teaching horsemanship and hunt seat equitation skills to all levels and ages of riders.

Monarch is excited to welcome Ciaran to the team! 🦋 Ciaran Murphy comes to Monarch Stables with over 20 years of experience working alongside top professionals such as Christian Coyle, Peter Lutz and the team at Evergate Stables. He trains riders of all ages — from juniors to adults — in hunter and jumper classes from the low jumpers through grand prix, with a particular passion for fostering strong horse-and-rider partnerships, especially with younger horses coming up through the ranks.
