🚨 TRANSPORT NEEDED!! 🚨

We need help with transport from Fort Bend County Animal Services to the Bryan/College Station area this Tuesday or Wednesday!

Cactus Ranch Rescue will cover gas. We just need someone willing to help get them safely from the shelter to us. 🐾

If you’re available to make this drive, please message us ASAP. Transport is such a huge part of rescue, and we are so thankful for anyone who can help be their freedom ride. 💛

Little update on Lida Bida, Emerald Jade, and Emmy Demmy! 🐾💕

These three silly little girls have officially made it to foster and are doing great! They are still healing a few spots on their legs, but they are eating, drinking, playing, and acting like absolute champs.

They may have had a rough start, but they sure aren’t letting that slow them down. Their personalities are already starting to come out, and they are just the cutest little things.

We believe they will stay small to medium in size, and they are already proving to be sweet, playful, resilient babies.

Way to go, girls! Keep healing, keep growing, and keep being your adorable little selves. 💛

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🚨

We were contacted by a shelter partner begging for help for a mama heeler and her 5 newborn babies who were dumped in Liberty County, an area with no shelter to take them in.

Right now, this little family is still sitting outside in the Texas heat in a wire kennel at the finder’s home. The finder wants to help, but cannot bring them inside because her own dogs are not safe with unfamiliar dogs.

Mama and her tiny babies need out of the heat and into a safe, quiet foster home immediately.

Cactus Ranch Rescue can provide:

✅ Supplies
✅ Support every step of the way

Mama just needs a cool, safe place to raise her babies.

There are pledges attached to help with their care, but we cannot tag them without a committed foster.

These sweet pups started their lives here with us, and now they are off to their next big chapter with an amazing rescue partner who will help them find the forever homes they deserve.

Bohdi went HOME! 🐾💙

Our sweet, wiggly boy officially got his forever dad, and we could not be happier for him. Bohdi came to us needing a second chance, and today he found exactly what every rescue dog deserves — someone to love him, choose him, and call him family.

We are so thankful for Krisan Webb, this store, and their incredible team for always loving on our rescue babies like their own. Harry looks amazing and is feeling fresh, clean, and extra cute.

Hermoine sits.
Hermoine waits.
Hermoine stays overlooked. 💔

This sweet girl came to Cactus Ranch Rescue from the Bastrop shelter euthanasia list. Her life was on the line, and she deserved so much more than becoming another forgotten name on an urgent list.

So we said yes.

And now, Hermoine is safe… but she is still waiting for the one thing every rescue dog dreams of: a forever home.

Hermoine is about 6 years old and truly one of the easiest housemates. She is kennel trained, leash trained, and potty trained. She is cat friendly, dog friendly, kid friendly, and does fantastic in public and on outings.

She is not asking for much. She just wants a soft place to land, a person to love, and a family who finally sees her.

She has gone on hikes with her foster mom and loved every second of it. She still has adventure in her heart, love in her soul, and so much life left to live.

But day after day, Hermoine keeps getting passed over.

Maybe it is because she is not a tiny puppy. Maybe it is because people scroll right past the easy, steady, already-trained dogs. But we know the truth: Hermoine is a gem.

She was worth saving then, and she is worth choosing now.

Please don’t let Hermoine keep waiting. Her forever family is out there. We just need them to see her. 🌵💛

From a euthanasia list to a forever home — this is why rescue matters.

Willow’s story could have ended so differently, but because people stepped up, shared, fostered, donated, transported, supported, and believed she was worth saving… she got her second chance.

And now? She has a family of her own.

No more waiting. No more uncertainty. No more being just another urgent face on a shelter list. Willow is loved, safe, chosen, and HOME.

River needs a HOME! 🐾💛

This sweet boy has been waiting for someone to see what we see — a loving, loyal, goofy, wonderful dog who is so ready to be someone’s best friend.

River came to Cactus Ranch Rescue needing a second chance, and he has done exactly what rescue dogs do best: he has shown us how resilient, forgiving, and full of love he really is. He may not have had the easiest start, but he has so much life and love ahead of him.

River is the kind of dog who wants to be part of the family. He loves attention, loves affection, and is happiest when he knows he belongs. He has a sweet personality, a happy spirit, and the kind of face that makes you wonder how in the world he is still waiting.

He deserves a home that will love him, guide him, and give him the stability every dog deserves. River is not asking for much — just a couch, a family, and someone who finally says, “You’re mine.”

Please don’t let River keep waiting. His forever home is out there, and we are ready for them to find him. 🌵
