Sunset sports courts complex, located at 1820 Emerson St. across from Sunset ballfield, now offers three pickleball courts!

The City recently planned to resurface the existing basketball courts but instead used the opportunity to add pickleball courts during the resurfacing project. There are still two basketball courts along with the three new pickleball courts!

Don't have pickleball equipment? No problem! Rent from the City of Brush Recreation Dept for a $10 deposit that's returned with the return of equipment.

No bikes (including e-bikes) or skateboards allowed on the surface.

*some dates may be adjusted if needed

Practice days/times will be determined by each coach.

Through this dry year and hot summer we have been monitoring the levels of the aquafer from where we draw our water, and so far, we have not put in place any water restrictions. Nonetheless, while there are no water RESTRICTIONS currently in place, we will always encourage water CONSERVATION - using water efficiently to reduce unnecessary waste.

Here are some ways you as a water user can help:
- INDOOR
-- Shorter showers
-- Turn off tap while brushing teeth, handwashing dishes, etc.
-- Install water efficient fixtures
-- Fix leaks (you might be surprised how much water is lost from ongoing leaking)

- OUTDOOR
-- Water lawns in early morning or late evening to eliminate evaporation
-- Adjust sprinklers to minimize spraying onto sidewalks and driveways
-- Use drought-resistant native plants
-- Let your lawn grass grow longer (more drought-resistant, reduces evaporation, and lessens weeds)
-- Place mulch around plants (helps retain moisture)

There are lots of other ways that a quick online search will provide, but those are some ideas to help conserve our precious resource.

We are just getting started....come on out!
The City of Brush and the Colorado Parks & Wildlife present Outdoor Education. Join us for this FREE event. All ages are welcome!

When: August 9th, 10am - 1pm
Where: Memorial Park

Activities will include backyard bass, skins/skulls, archery shooting, CPW K9 dogs, map reading, search and rescue, and ANS boat investigator. Hot dogs and drinks will be served.

The City Water Department will be fixing a main water line on Wednesday morning in the 400 block of Custer Street, beginning at 7:30am. Water services for nearby residents may be affected while the work is being done.
