🐾 Meet Brody! 💛

Brody recently saw Dr. Kirby for his annual exam, vaccines, and heartworm test—and while he was here, he showed us just how patiently he can wait his turn! 🥰

Routine wellness visits are about so much more than vaccines. Regular testing, including heartworm testing and other routine bloodwork, can help us detect problems that may not be obvious from the outside. Heartworm disease can be serious and potentially life-threatening, but it is also largely preventable. Testing helps us catch infection early and make sure your pet is on the right prevention plan.

Even when your pet looks healthy and feels great, annual exams and recommended bloodwork are an important part of keeping them that way. ❤️

🐾 Labor Day Holiday Hours 🐾

Animal & Avian Medical Center will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

We will reopen and resume our regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

🐾 If your pet experiences an emergency while we are closed, please seek immediate veterinary care at either MedVet or Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. They are available to provide emergency care when our office is closed.

This sweet little fluffball had a spa day with Kassidi and Kayla, and she is looking absolutely ADORABLE! 💕✂️

From her fluffy face to those precious white paws, Rosie is officially ready to show off her fresh new look! 🎀🐶 Just look at that sweet face! 😍

A big thank-you to Kassidi and Kayla for giving Rosie so much love, patience, and pampering. She may have been a little unsure about the whole experience, but we think she looks like a total superstar! ⭐️🐾

Ten years of tiny legs, big personalities and plenty of wiener chaos! Celebrating a decade of one of Woosterfest’s most beloved traditions, and we want your wiener at the starting line!

Woosterfest’s 10th Annual Wiener Dog Race & Costume Contest is happening Saturday, October 3rd in Downtown Wooster!

-$20 entry fee—t-shirt included!
-Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m.
-Races start at noon
-All wiener dogs are eligible to participate, regardless of age or size.
-Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded!
-Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
-Register by September 10th to reserve your spot and guarantee a t-shirt!

🐾💕 Daisy’s First Puppy Visit! 💕🐾

Just look at this sweet face! 🥰 Daisy recently came in for her first puppy visit with Dr. Wilson, and she was absolutely precious from start to finish! 🐶💗

Daisy enjoyed lots of pets, love, and yummy treats while getting acquainted with the team. And, of course, she went home with something extra special—a Puppy Pack! 🎁🐾

Her pack included:

🥏 A frisbee
📚 Helpful brochures for Mom & Dad

We love welcoming new puppies to our practice, which is why every new puppy who comes in for an appointment receives a Puppy Pack to help get them started on the right paw! 🐾✨
