Say hello to Chopper! 🐶

This sweet, amazing 14-month-old is living with a foster family with plans to go on vacation soon and we’d like to find a home for him before they leave! Are you the family he could be looking for?

Being a three-legged “tripod” dog doesn’t slow Chopper down for one minute. He would love to go to a home where he can grow, learn, and join you on all your adventures! In addition to being potty trained, Chopper is an excellent car companion.

Chopper’s adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor! Let’s find him the family he deserves. 💕

It’s National Vet Tech Appreciation Week and we want to give a warm shout out to our techs Olivia and Liz! 🐾

Between assisting our veterinarians, nursing animals before and after surgeries, administering medications and many other tasks behind the scenes, we simply wouldn’t be able to save as many animals as we do each year without their help and support!

If you know a vet tech, be sure to give them some extra appreciation and love this week! 💕

Join us at our next Puppy Adoption Event at The Animal House - Damariscotta (7 Coastal Market, Damariscotta) on Saturday, October 24th! 🐶

We will be there from 10am – 2pm with several puppies that have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date on their vaccinations.

Applications can be filled out at the event in order of arrival. Check out our social media pages on Friday for a sneak peek of the puppies! We look forward to seeing you there! 💕

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our PAWtoberfest this past weekend! Despite the windy conditions, everyone had a fantastic time, and we cannot wait to do it again! 🐾

Over 40 vendors participated and shared their beautiful paintings, glass work, fiber art and much more! Other People’s Pizza provided delicious food, Brickyard Hollow kept the b**r flowing, the Kids’ Zone was full of fun, and fifteen animals found new homes! J

We are very happy to share an update on Bagel, a Midcoast Humane alumnus! 🥯

Bagel’s adopter writes, “I just wanted to let you know that Bagel is doing great. He has settled in right away, I’ve never had such a confident cat before. He has instantly become my little side kick. He slept sharing my pillow as my little spoon on night one. He is such a snugglebutt and full of energy. Thank you for helping him.” 😺

Meet Leif!

Leif is an energetic, two-year-old, intelligent guy who is always ready for his next adventure! He loves to run, play, train, and use his brain, so he'll thrive with an adopter who enjoys staying active and wants a dog who can be their partner in all kinds of fun. Leif is happiest when he has something to do and someone to do it with, so an adopter who enjoys an active lifestyle would be a wonderful match for this busy boy. Having lots of land for Leif to explore and stretch his legs would be an extra bonus, as would a securely fenced yard, but neither is required. What matters most is finding someone who will keep him engaged, active, and included in their adventures.
