🎩🐾 The Chronicles of Lord Ollie

Chapter I: A Most Distinguished Excursion to Christ Church

Dearest Gentle Reader,

It is with considerable delight that we report upon the latest excursion of His Lordship, the esteemed Lord Ollie, a gentleman of refined tastes, considerable charm, and absolutely no intention of traveling on foot.

On this fine morning, His Lordship's private carriage was made ready for a journey to historic Christ Church, Frederica, where nearly three centuries of worship and tradition have graced the grounds.

The carriage was drawn by none other than his most trusted friend and companion, Eli — a stouthearted lady of admirable strength, unwavering loyalty, and a most agreeable disposition.

Though Eli possesses neither the stature nor the pedigree of a proper carriage horse, she approaches her responsibilities with great enthusiasm.

His Lordship, meanwhile, reclined comfortably within his carriage, surveying the countryside through his finely woven curtains, quite untroubled by the physical demands of travel.

Their faithful lady-in-waiting accompanied the procession, ensuring that all matters of navigation, refreshments, and general comfort were attended to.

Eli, it must be said, performed her duties admirably, pausing occasionally to inspect the roadside and conduct what appeared to be matters of considerable olfactory importance.

Whether these interruptions were strictly necessary remains a subject of debate.

Lord Ollie, naturally, offered no assistance.

Upon reaching the historic grounds, His Lordship took in the surroundings with the quiet contemplation befitting a gentleman of his station.

And thus concluded another splendid outing for our noble traveler and his devoted companion.

Society eagerly awaits news of their next adventure.

INCIDENT REPORT AT NEW PATHS HORSE SANCTUARY
Case File: The Cabbi Mae Situation
The wanted poster came across Constable Hammy’s desk sometime Tuesday morning.
He studied it carefully.
Then he studied it again.
And again.
By lunchtime, concerns were raised.
The suspect was Cabbi Mae—wanted for stealing hearts, being dangerously sweet, and showing absolutely no remorse for either offense.
Hammy immediately recognized the seriousness of the situation.
“Femme fatale,” he muttered, staring at the photograph.
He moved the poster closer.
“Heartbreaker.”
Closer still.
“Person of interest…”
By this point, it was becoming increasingly unclear whether Hammy was conducting an investigation or planning a courtship.
Witnesses report that the Constable spent an unreasonable amount of time reviewing the suspect’s photograph and asking questions that had very little investigative value:
Does she like sweet potato chips?
Is she seeing anybody?
Do you think she likes a man in uniform?
The staff at New Paths attempted to remind Hammy that Cabbi Mae is a wanted suspect.
Hammy disagreed.
“She is a lady.”
The distinction was apparently important.
An official BOLO has been issued, although sources inside the department report Hammy has already volunteered to handle the apprehension personally.
Alone.
He has also confiscated the reward—a bag of premium sweet potato chips—“for evidentiary purposes.”
No one believes him.
For now, Cabbi Mae remains at large.
Constable Hammy remains hopelessly smitten.
And for the first time in Hammy Files history…
we may need to investigate the investigator. 🐷❤️🫏
