The Coffee County Fire Department has issued the following statement: “We are observing a significant number of burn barrels in recent calls. Citations are being issued for any unauthorized burning. And yes, that includes burn barrels. Let’s maintain safety and continue to pray for rain.” Sheriff Fred Cole reported that deputies wrote at least five citations for burning on Sunday. No burning means no burning. At all.
